'ID' 1994. He was an undercover cop infiltrating a firm of football hooligans. It was supposed to be set in London but it was filmed in Rotherham.

The Firm had some scenes filmed outside a Villa match in London (QPR?) and also around Birmingham and the old coach station when they go to an away game and one gets their face slashed by Blues fans I believe.

Selhurst Park.

I thought there was a scene in the form filmed in the bull ring car park?
Close, the Bull Ring bus station (which for years I always thought was under New Street Station near the Blue cinema).

Didn't 'The Firm' have a scene filmed in the Villa Park car park and at one point a car was blown up?

Don't know about that, however the Copper "Special" squad drama set in Brum in the 90's seemed to have every other scene filmed close by.
Back Up? I think the premise for one episode was the home leg of a UEFA Cup semi final against Liverpool.

Back Up was one and also Juliet Bravo had an episode based around a cup tie where radio commentary from Blackburn in 1980 was used.

I can remember an episode of Channel 4's comedy Who Dares Wins when a baby was born and was given the name of 'Nigel Spink'.

Murphy’s Mob was filmed at Watford back in the day.  ‘It’s gonna be all right if we stick together.’

Only thing I remember about that was some dart action.

If I remember correctly it was originally filmed at Vicarage Road and latterly was filmed at The Baseball Ground.

The main thing I remember about Murphy’s mob, was sting of the dump playing the lead role

My old man, worked at that GJN for 25 years till the early 80s, I had a couple of summer stints there in my uni days in the mid 90s, when was back up filmed there?

There was a couple of scenes filmed on the Church car park just up the road from Witton station / Villa  Chippy.

Mid-nineties? It was one of those chance things - I drove past the disused loading bay and saw some police vans and other vehicles, wondered what it was all about then thought more of it until I was watching the show a few month later.
