I wish people would move on. Delph clearly took poor advice and lacks the accumen to conduct himself in a decent manner, but that is little reason to wish him harm.
He was often a good player for us but never great and I am satisfied that we have made a significant upgrade by signing Gueye who looks like a much more accomplished player than Delph will ever be.

You're right, of course. But as a normally fairly responsible, reasonable adult, when I heard the news last night (wasn't watching), I chuckled, felt slightly warmer inside, and texted a few people. Bad I know.

Delph clearly doesn't give a shit - he seems to think the abuse is quite funny. So him injured within twelve seconds last night was a joy. If that makes me petty and small-minded, then OK.

You're right of course, but I'm still glad his hamstring is fucked.

He seems to be picking up regular injuries.  Perhaps if he were playing regularly that might not be the case. He has plenty of time to reflect on that now.

You're right. We need to accept that he's pulling strings in someone else's midfield now.

Until I know for sure that this club is on an upward trajectory and I can relax and enjoy a season not fraught with relegation worries, I will take every opportunity to revel in others misery, particularly weasily bar-stewards like the Snake.

I hope his arms and legs fall off. Then he can slither to training.

It would be a lot easier to move on if only he didn't keep getting injured. It's also very funny.

No we don't. His actions should produce consequences, if only to serve as a reminder that is unacceptable to act in such a manner, that being honest and decent is actually a positive part of someone's character, something that vanished from the world of professional football a long time ago.

These consequences won't come in the form of condemnation from the media, or any effect to his wage packet or his selection for his club or the national side so it is down to us.

And if that means someone waving an inflatable snake at Villa Park in a few weeks time then so be it.

Fuck him.

In the past few years this type of thing has usually happened to us, perhaps Tim has lifted the curse of shite that's hung around B6 for too long?
