As far as refs go, it's pretty evident that refs who give decisions against the top teams find themselves relegated. They look after the big clubs & they get to referee at the top level.  You could argue a case for and against all the decisions tonight bar one, Terry's handball, which was as blatant as they come.

With regard to the special one, he is an ideal match for Chelsea as he has no class either, his sneaky poke in the eye of the coach at Barcelona says more about him than I every could.

We have come so far in the last 8 months & special mention to Delph who is finally showing what a class act he is.

I believe it's because the referees are human beings at the end of the day. When refereeing a game at Old Trafford, Anfield, or knowing that a man with as much pull as Mourinho or, while he was still active, especially Ferguson has got to play on their minds. I can acknowledge this trend that big clubs are getting the bigger decisions, but I refuse to believe that it's because of some widespread undercover conspiracy, but more of a result of extraneous variables that affect the mentality of those making decisions. On a side note, the only incidents getting coverage whenever this topic rears it's ugly head are those going against little clubs, and thus those are the ones we hear about, making it seem like there are no decisions going against 'big' clubs.
