Just stepped off a boat following a fantastic night cruise on Dalyan river Turkey to be immediately greeted with the sight of Terry handling the ball and then us not been given a penalty Even the locals had their arms in the air I've now been forced to crack open my emergency bottle of wine back at the Villa

You must do what's necessary in this predicament! Enjoy the rest of the holidays.

Just looking at the game now.  Anyone who says we got the referees decisions on Saturday can rest assured the cnut even things up tonight. What a fuckin disgraceful refereeing performance - sending off and it wasnt even a free kick for their winner.  I fucking hate the Sky 4.

The PL need Chelsea to win to keep their'worldwide' fans happy.

If other clubs won the league they'd get worldwide fans too - I'm sure the Premier League would rather have loads of fans for all the clubs.  The problem with the Premier League is that it's too easy for clubs  to buy success.  Seeing what's happened at Chelsea these past fifteen years really winds me up and hearing a gloryhunting Cockney Red on the radio refer to them as "bigger" than Villa makes me puke.
PL worldwide are just after ratings to make more money, one of the so called 'big 5' winning the league means more of there so called fans watch and make the PL more money when it come to TV deals.

A Villa fan rang TalkSport offering the exact same opinion.

Frankly, that's a ridiculous suggestion and equivalent to taking a massive shit on a keyboard.

That is the main issue for some saying about take these because of Saturday and last seasons match, each decision he made in that 4 minute period before and after the goal was just totally wrong. No red card, not a foul for the freekick, offside for the player scoring and then not even sending off for a second yellow for the next foul Ivanovic made. The equivalent evening up on Saturday would have been, Gabby punching a player, fouling both players as he ran through and then Chesney actually getting the ball quite easily and still having the pen given and being sent off.

Because prize money is given out depending on where you finish in the league?

Absolutely dumbfounded how the ref did not give a pen at the end.

I will post who the most TV/prize money last season I think Liverpool were 3rd in the money table, give me a minute.
It's on a file I can't open but Liverpool were joint 2nd with 11,525,944 despite finishing 7th.It's not just worldwide Sky show more of the so called top 5 to get ratings to sell advertising. It's been the same since live football started on TV,ITV/BBC are just as bad.

Despite some dodgy decisions - we're in better shape than o'neill and his mega spending. Obviously we might lose the next 6 games but I think we're looking good. I've followed Villa since 1976 and this just has a feeling about it that somethings growing. I hope so.

Just watched the highlights. I expected to feel that comments about the key decisions had been overblown. They hadn't. Both blatant. I can forgive the offside.

No sense in talking of a conspiracy. Benteke initially got away with similar twice last year.

We look so much better organised defensively and in midfield this year.

And delph and gabby? Wow. I really thought from what I saw that delph looked fantastic. I thought Westwood looked better than comments might suggest.

We really need to get delph signed up on a new contract.

Tonev, okore, sylla in for Clark, Weimann and KEA at the weekend I reckon.

Really good performance. Can't see us being anywhere near the relegation zone this year

To suggest that there is some sort of conspiracy theory stemming from the Premier League forcing referees to make dodgy calls is ludicrous.

I posted in the match thread that even the commentators over here were questioning the impartiality of the ref.
They'd also got Jesper Gronkjær on as a pundit at the end.
"Chelsea needed the referee's help to get the win" was his verdict.
His other noteworthy comment which I mostly agree with, was that we had the chances to make the refereeing decisions irrelevant and that is what might stop us competing at the top end of the table.

Respect and kudos to the 1500 or so hardy souls that made the trip. Pretty much all your could hear of the croud was you.

Oh and another vote for Delph as man of the match, closely followed by Karim.  Those two worked their knackers off and looked good with the ball at feet.
