The PL need Chelsea to win to keep their'worldwide' fans happy.

17,000 when I went to Stamford Bridge in successive seasons 93-94. I friggin hate their new supporters and the way they act like they're always been the dogs bollocks.

As for the penalty, if you can see why that is given beyond 90th minute at the Bridge, then you are a significantly more enlightened man than I.
You've clearly made your mind up that everyone is against us and that there is some shadowy conspiracy going on, so I'm not going to bother trying to change your mind.

But I assume that this conspiracy that means we would never get an injury time penalty at Chelsea was set up sometime after 2007?

In that game, we had a player sent off for not committing a foul in the penalty area.

I'd also say it's harder not to give a penalty for stopping a goal with your hand on the goal line than it was for the Terry handball today.

Mixed feelings really. Don't think the referee was as bad as people are making out.

However I knew it was a penalty before even seeing the replay when the camera spanned to Terry's face.

Didnt Chelsea get a penalty at the weekend for something similar to Terry's catch today?

End of the day, we lost a game and realistically 1 point. I think even if Andi scores one of his chances, we'd have sat back afterwards and conceded anyway.

And what have you seen of Lambert recently that we sit back after scoring?

Have we ever sat back under Lambert?

Exactly, that attitude cost us about 5 goals at Chelsea last season when he went out trying to attack in the second half rather then trying to limit the damage. This year it will probably cost us a European place but with the players now in place and with belief, it will definitely be a better ride.

Sorry but they will disappear when the money does wankers.

Well done for those now calming down.

Im still f in livid

If he had missed the elbow fine. It happens. But he saw the bloody foul and then gave a yellow. I would love to hear his reason for a yellow and not a red. Unbelievable

The penalty. Well many Villa players appealed which is often a sign it should have been given

Next game will be just as tough as this for me. Liverpool looked very good in their opening game and they'll be going all out against us on Saturday, especially as they have manure after us.

Gutted about tonight but i expected nothing so it is what it is!
