For me Karim El- Ahmadi was my man of the match...maybe Delph too, I can't decided.

First 10 mins or so I thought we were going to get tonked!

I think our midfield defensively looks better.

Our final ball was lame at times....we could of had 6 or 7 with a better pass.

We won.

First day of the new season and I've awoken feeling unusually confident of a 3-1 win to Villa.

Did you put money on it?

Just listened to crooks and keown on final score.
Pair of wankers.

What did they say?

Well they didn't say anything about Villa, just spoke about some other team.

Just the usual blinkered views.
No real credit, all due to Arse not spending money, and All the decisions going our way, oh, and Arse should have gone foe Benteke in the summer, because they would have got him.

Hartson very fair and complimentary about us on the radio. Said the credit is all ours and that our front three will cause teams a lot of problems this season.

Met an Arse fan briefly on Holiday. He was typical and very dismissive of our chances, seeing this as an easy start.

Well he can .......## stick that in his ..###ing pipe and smoke it.

According to the coverage I had, Arsenal will see themselves as very unlucky with all the key decisions going against them. LOL

Well done Villa. Shine on Tony Moon#

Ron was shite, rest of the side good on ya.

Agreed Rosicky made him look like a clueless schoolboy, hopefully he won't come up against many that are as clever as Rosicky this season.

Very reminiscent of the only high-point of McLeish's season - the 3-1 win at Chelsea. Go down a goal early on, get back to 1-1 and take the lead before an insurance goal on the break late on.

I think we're far likely to get these smash and grab wins away against the bigger teams than at home where we'll have to dictate possession a bit more. So I wouldn't be surprised to see us get something at Chelsea midweek and struggle against  Liverpool next weekend. I would have taken 3 points from these opening 3 games so it's brilliant to get them in the first game.

No man should be as random as Crooks without suffering from Alzheimer's or smacked off his tits on crystal meth. Only the BBC could employ him.
