First game of season, London.
Last game of season, london. Disgusting.....
At least one of those games should be a home game for fans.

Very unfair, hopefully get a draw at the emirates and sneak a win against those hub cap stealing scouters...UTV.

What if the club have requested away fixtures to allow extra for any work going on at Villa Park?

We could do it like this....Wenger (a) the Saturday after Friday 16th August
Rogers (h)  the Saturday after Friday 23rd August

etc etc

We could. It would still breach copyright.
But it isn't copied...its completely different. And what about during last season, people would put the next 5 fixtures in February, is that still copyright?

I have a solution!

I'm taking a trip to London to see my cousin on the 17th of August, I love him but he is a bit of an ARSE. The next week I'll be back in Brum, probably chilling at my mom's and listening to The Beatles, who were of course from LIVERPOOL. I have no plans for the next couple of weeks, although there's rumours of a big day out in NEWCASTLE on the 14th of September. Hopefully, the week after that, my cousins will come to Brum to hang out. They're from Lowestoft, which is of course near NORWICH. Slightly strange weekend planned after that, a good pal of mine has just come out and wants me to go to a club called MAN CITY with him, just for moral support.

And so on and so forth...

Not read through the rest of the thread yet, but I assume I'm not the first to say it - the idea that reproducing a list of football games is a punishable offence is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Seriously, who thinks to copyright a fucking LIST?? And who the Hell gets pissy when it gets written down by somebody else?

When human civilisation collapses and the end times come, we'll look back at stupidity like this as the starting point.

So if we do list them we could say in defence that we did so to save civilisation.

You can use small excerpts but not the whole thing. You can also use your idea, if you want to go to court and prove that you put together a completely random set of fixtures that just happened to come out like that.

FFS

Why not call it the 'Money Grabbing Twunts League'

We become 'Us' Arse stay as Arse, Chelsea stay as Chavski, Newcastle become Loony Toons etc, etc.

We then have a made up league with made up names.  I can't see Scudamore objecting to this.

Right then I get you, so it's more the order of fixtures than anything else. But with what you say in regards of using "small excerpts" on that basis you can copy Augusts fixtures and leave it at that until February?

The copyright thing is understandable. Various news agencies will have had to pay the FA for the rights to publish the fixtures on their websites/paper/whatever. It's a bit shit if five minutes after you publish them they appear on websites or such that haven't stumped up the fee. The BBC for example will be hoping you stick around and read the other stories on their site, likewise Sky.

DW, am I right in saying we can link to the various outlets that have the list of fixtures? If so what's the big deal?

You can link to the sites that are allowed to publish them, who pay for the right.
