Bradford is the worst moment in my Villa supporting life.
Mine too. I still haven't even gotten over the Bolton semi-final debacle, so I'm not sure if I'll ever get over that.

Chelsea away. £55. Followed by working 10 hours on Christmas Day  with loads of "hilarious" Chelsea fans each giving me, wait for it, a box of after eights. Laugh? I needed fresh pants.

I got one of those for Christmas...

millwall away was dire, and not being able to quietly fuck off when they scored in the last minute and being kept behind for nearly an hour whilst the locals celebrated was an additional kick in the bollocks, however..

i have to go with the 3-0 loss to wigan at home. an absolutely disgusting lack of spine and effort from everyone involved.

special mentions to the first half of everton at villa park, lambert's first half at home which really set the tone for the next 5/6 months, they gave us a schooling and the second half at saints, with hindsight a precurser to the debacle which would unravel at stamford bridge.

Second half, Bradford at home.
We crumbled - to a League 2 side!
The worst Villa performance I think I've ever seen.

Yes, last half hour against Bradford.  A so called premier league team who were playing as if they wouldn't score a goal if they carried on playing until Christmas against a League 2 side who were barely trying.  I've never seen the hope crushed out of a watching crowd like that.

To be honest, we saw a precursor to the poor start of the season against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in pre season.  Only a pre season game, but we were thoroughly outplayed by Forest and looked very fragile at the back.

It was a long time since I was so upset after a Villa game as the first leg at Bradford. I was almost in tears. Ironically, after the second leg I felt really rational about it - I quite enjoyed the snowball fight over the trains at Witton station, followed by the post-mortem on the train back home. Then the morning after, it hit me. I didn't want to go to work, not just due to the fact I have a Nose as a boss, but he was particularly merciless even though I've never twisted the knife myself. He sent me a picture of that lot celebrating in 2011 with the caption "What you could have won...", and at that moment I knew how much of a laughing stock we were.

The final indignity was that very day, I had to be photographed for the noticeboard in reception. Consequently I'm wearing the cheesiest, false grin it's possible to convey, while inside I longed to go home, pull the covers over my head and not come out for the next few months.

I'd also like to nominate Benteke missing relatively easy chances in defeats at Tottingham and Fulham. He scored on his debut but in these games both chances seemed easier to put away than miss, and I was convinced that he would be another of those stop-start-and-eventually-stop strikers we specialise in.

For the record, I can be a huge idiot sometimes.

The Christmas horror trilogy. Watching the Chelsea game on TV, then going to the Spurs game did not make for a happy Christmas. I was prepared to be philosophical about those results once we beat Wigan but once they had battered us too it was time to be very, very concerned.

The last 30 minutes against Bradford at Villa Park was the worst football I've seen by a Villa side in 40 odd years given the context. The five players strung across the front, no shape of any kind, Stephen Ireland hiding among others, and their goalkeeper barely making a save in that time - against a side three divisions below us. That was as low as it got - not just this season, but many a season.

Completely agree. That's when I had least faith in lambert. I still don't know what the fuck we were doing.

The three worst moments for me were Southampton Chelsea and Milwall away, felt like asking for my money back after the game.

Now he's wrong though, Bennett has come on a lot since he got fit and playing.

The third goal at Bradford, 2-1 and we would still have gone through I think.

Hernández scoring a second half hatrick to cancel out Weimann's two at Villa Park really hurt. But then again I was still immensely proud of the lads so I wouldn't call it the worst moment.

Would have to be Bradford for me. What a shambles.
