I'm feeling rather queasy. I just followed the link in that article to the 'Full-kit wankers' twitter feed and there's a disturbing picture of another bloke in full Villa kit.

https://twitter.com/WankersFullKit

What the fuck is that?

I can't get Twitter at work. Can anyone post this image. Mind you from the early reactions I might bring up my breakfast

Oh my goodness me, I don't think that would be wise!

Tricky one is this. Each to their own but here are mine.

Full kits <= 14 years old. No other excuse unless playing for a gane for a team.
Football Tops are ok going to, during and after game. Removing said tops for any reason other than being treated by medical personnel or being savaged by a herd of fit birds should not occur.
Football Tops are ok on holiday abroad preferably. People abroad who are wearing glory hunter tops should be either ignored or ridiculed. The former is easier, the latter more fun.
Football tops as a casual piece of attire in the off season is ok provided they fit suitably and are size S, M or L. No exceptions unless you are taller than Peter Crouch.

Being of maturing years (51), I avoid the full on top approach these days and go for something a bit more subtle. Like my 'Trinity Road' T shirt which is claret and just has a print of the road sign for Trinity Road on it with B16. If I ever do wear a football top, it would be abroad where I like to show off the fact I support the greatest team in the world to all those who aren't so fortunate......which is everyone else of course

I am wearing that exact t-shirt (well, not yours, obv) right now as it happens.

This is the only piece of Aston Villa related clothing my Mrs will allow me to wear in public if she is to be with me.

That's the FIFA 14 Paul Faulkner card, apparently.

It's a good one for sorting out real football fans from the gloryhunters when they look at it, which down here is a ratio of about 1 to 500. You get the odd knowing look but most people just wonder why the hell you are walking around with the name of a road on your T shirt

I rarely buy the replica shirts as I'm unlikely to ever wear them (other than when I play football), but I would buy the Aston Villa equivalent of   these t-shirts. In fact I'd probably buy several claret t-shirtswith a crest on the front and different players' names and squad numbers on the back. Presumably clubs in general don't offer them as they sign deals with replica shirt manufacturers and they would dilute the market too much?

I don't know how to post pictures but anyway I don't think it's suitable for a family website.

Think Frank Bough, Max Mosley or Stephen Milligan. Wearing a full Villa kit.

Spot on, I loved the Hummel ones they did similar to this with 'McGrath' etc on the back. I rue to this day not buying one of those...
