Around 10th-12th provided we address our defensive issues in the summer.

The problem you have is if you name what you think is our current strongest first XI, as soon as you take one or two names out, then it starts to look extremely iffy. A few new faces and very few injuries then i can see us getting between 9th-12th. If we don't get the reinforcements and lose a few players injured then we could be bumping along the bottom again.

It's too early to say. Massively dependent on keeping our best players and making good signings. Put a half decent defence in the current side and I think we could get top half- not in a 'comfortable top 8 all season' way unless there's a really dramatic defensive improvement

I doubt the teams coming out of the championship this year will be as strong as for the last two years (Southampton, west ham, Swansea and Norwich). I fancy all three to be bottom 5 material and at least one of the teams in brackets will struggle too - probably Norwich and hopefully west brom will struggle a bit without lukaku.

So it should certainly be possible to avoid bumping around the bottom all season. And if we're going to be mid table, I'll be much happier for it to involve the sort of football we've been playing recently - when compared to the Gregory days for example

8th. The gap between Wigan and Albion (8th) is less than the gap between Albion and Everton in 6th .

In general we don't really do mid table at Villa, do we? Either top six or bottom six, for as long as i can remember with a few exceptions. Next season its back to top six i hope, but obviously as mentioned by others, we need to see what happens. I trust Lambert to get right. A couple of good signings, keep Benteke and i believe we can literally go anywhere next season! Sod all this top 8-10 cautious optimism bollocks!

7th or 8th. Our form in the second half of the season leads me to believe that we will beat the teams we should more often than not. When you couple that with the games we've literally given away from winning positions mostly due to comical defending then you have to think by fixing some of that with some good signings we can finish comfortably in an upper mid table position.

7th to 15th I reckon. We're not going to join the top 6 and Liverpool, but we're as good/bad (however you see it) as anyone in the league from West Brom down (with Moyes leaving Everton, they'll be in that category).

However, so long as we play to win games and it's enjoyable, I am more than happy to keep buying my season ticket. This season has been more fun than the last two I think (possibly more than that (some football under MON was dire)).

Calm down Tony!

That said we should all be able to dream after the last few seasons.

Bring it on looking forward to how far we can go
