Denied the title by Phil Dowd sending off three of our players in the penultimate game for over-celebrating a goal.

10th. Comfortably in midtable with hints of a Europe League push and a decent cup run is all I ask for.

I expect the most interesting Premier League season for a while next year. Two new managers at the Manchester clubs, a likely return for Mourinho to Chelsea are already interesting, but I'm very excited about how we will shape up next year. Looking at the teams around us, I am confident that with a bit of experience and (hopefully) another Benteke-esk wildcard, we'll finish about 8th. And Wembley.

Personally think it will be Manchester, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool who will occupy all 6 spots for a good few years yet. Evertons position could be up for grabs by someone and with the right kind of signings.

I went for 8th-10th...Ill be happy with that for 3 or 4 seasons just to get us back on our feet again.

I'd be happy with a season of progress where we finish 8th - 10th and never once have to look over our shoulders.  This coupled with some clean sheets and, assuming we don't win either of them, cup exits that don't make us national laughing stocks.

I certainly think we will be "too good to go down" next season: all of the promoted clubs will struggle, perhaps even one of those seasons when at least two of them go straight back down.  Stoke are a busted flush and I don't think Pullis can re-invest himself tactically, Norwich and Albion's end to the season suggest a difficult season ahead - and I'd be worried if I was a Fulham fan.  Southampton could go one of two ways - as could either of the North East clubs.

At the other end of the table, I think it'll all be business as usual despite the managerial changes.  Man City and Chelsea will give their new manager mega-bucks to spend and Moyes will keep the momentum at United going with what will still be Ferguson's team.  Arsenal, as per usual, will flatter to deceive, but will still have enough to finish fourth.  Spurs and Liverpool will battle for 5th and are the most likely to sneak 4th if any of the others falter.

So mid-table will come down to a battle between us, Everton, West Ham and Swansea - plus whichever of Southampton, Newcastle or Sunderland has an improved season.

If Gabby, Benteke and Weimann build on this season's form and we strengthen in the various key departments, I feel we will be in the Liverpool/Spurs/ Arsenal territory of battling for places between 4th and 6th.  We have too good a strike force to be mid-table and the lowest we will finish will be 8th. (I hope!)

6th to 8th would be a reasonable finishing position if some strengthening of the team takes place
