Still trying to work out how Bennett was still on the pitch at the end!

Just watched the game again om MOTD and its a mystery, he should have been sent off for  a second bookable offence more than once
None of the challenges were worthy of a second booking...unless you count minor shirt pulling as a bookable offence (even those shirt pulls were not ample enough to make a fully grown male athlete drop like a sack of spuds to the floor) and the penalty decision was arguably outside the box but definitely clumsy at best.

He needs to play in midfield. A solid left back, and push Bennett into the 3 in midfield like Whittingham and Bale have before him, would suit him down to the ground once used to it.

Yup. he is a talented lad for sure. Touch, vision, bit of pace. I am just not convinced he should be playing in defence.

Anyone know where I can stream MOTD? For some stupid reason they don't put it on the iplayer. It's repeated in the morning but I haven't seen 8am of a Sunday in a long time and don't plan on starting now.

By the way, what was with Hughton making subs in the 93rd minute? I mean, I am grateful and all for him eating up some time but isnt it us who are meant to be stringing out the clock? Struck me as an odd moment as I didnt see any injuries forcing him.

Over last 8 games, apparently we are 4th best team in the premiership

Hooray! We qualify for the Recent Form Champions' League

But knowing our luck Albion will bugger it up.
Sorry I don't see that we are more unlucky or lucky than the rest of the teams. Take yesterday, for example, Bennett should have been sent off a long time before the pen and certainly when he gave the penalty away. We score the winner in the 90th minute. They mess up a very god chance to equalise in the 94th.
And talking about luck Cisse's shot was over the line when West Ham defender cleared it!

Bennett and Guzan were awful yesterday. Guzan has been very decisive so far this season and that has put him in a good place but he made some porridge decisions and we are lucky we didn't get punished.

Oh no what have you done? If Platini's researchers are trolling this forum UEFA are probably already off selling TV rights for this. Games to be played on Friday afternoon!

It was never a penalty, first contact outside the area and the forward took a dive once in the area.

Guzan's gone a bit wobbly of late. Some rash decisions. Needs to sort it out cos I can see him costing us a goal

I agree it wasn't a pen but once the ref had decided it was a foul and a penalty than the lad was very lucky to stay on.

Bennet should have been sent off for persistent fouling. Agbonlahor dragged us to the win by himself.

This run is is starting to remind me of the run at the end of the 97/98 season- john gregory's first three months, where we couldnt stop winning, moved clear of relegation and qualified for europe, winning every week and playing with style. We then heartbreakingly lost our star striker, reinvested well and led the premier leauge for three months, carrying our form into the new season of course!

Just seen the goals on Match of the Day.  A couple more crackers to add to this season's collection!
