Reading through this two points.
1/. Ozzjim said the teams below us all have a game which is a banker. Surely at this end of the league table no game is a banker as most teams are a bit shite. Some points will be dropped in those games.
2/. Watching the Baggies game against Wigan, I don't think we can say the Baggies didn't try - they definitely did. I expected Wigan to win, but all along I've said neither Villa or Wigan will go down.

Exactly.

Teams at the arse end of the table are there for a reason, and it is usually for not winning the bankers.

Us winning has given Stoke a bigger incentive against Sunderland, lose and they will also be dragged into the relegation battle. I don't think any team around us has banker games indeed when you look at Wigan having to go to arsenal and Sunderland playing Spurs on the last day i would much prefer to be in our position than theirs. We need a new left back by next week though.

On the counter, something happens to teams when the shit really hits the fan that makes them win games against mid table sides meandering along. Wigan and Norwich both have home games in the next week against 2 such sides. Newcastle have the side bottom of the pile. Sunderland have Stoke and Southampton at home.

In even my most optimistic assessment, it is down to Albion at Norwich and then us and Wigan on the final day.

Other teams are going to win all their remaining matches and we are going to lose both and get relegated!

My lads team were short two weeks ago. Normally I do the line, but due to havinga bout of the trots said I was failing the fitness test. Transpires they only had 11 men and begged me to be sub. 15minutes in and 3 nil down, some lad got a dodgy injury and there i am, first proper game in 22 years. lost 5-4, some fat lad outpaced me and admitted when asked by me he had never tried to beat someone for lack of speed before. Confidence restored, am ready to answer the call and kick the feck out of Hazard, Oscar et all lol

Exactly, other teams have to get everything and we have to get nothing for us to go down.

Still trying to work out how Bennett was still on the pitch at the end!

Not really. Other teams need 1 win, in games that are really there to be won. Only Norwich against Albion looks tough, and Albion showed today losing a game they should win is something they are perfectly capable of. Even a draw today, or next week with Norwich and we are safe with them off to City. But knowing our luck Albion will bugger it up.

Just watched the game again om MOTD and its a mystery, he should have been sent off for  a second bookable offence more than once

I don't see why the foul for the pen should have been a yellow card though. It wasn't a nasty challenge and he wasn't the last man.
He gave way too many free kicks away though, and they were for mostly clumsy shirt pulling. He's got a hell of a lot to learn has Bennett.

He needs to play in midfield. A solid left back, and push Bennett into the 3 in midfield like Whittingham and Bale have before him, would suit him down to the ground once used to it.
