I think a sign erected at the location of the incident would be nice. Saying simply "African Car Reverser".

I’m convinced the return of this thread will be the required catalyst to see us to promotion.

Don't usually quote myself but as this thread has been resurrected, it does seem important to highlight the thought of Dr Xia today attempting to emulate the original Reverser:

Im convinced Dr.Tony Xia was driving up and down outside the Trinity Road stand about an hour before kick off, which I found quite bizarre.

The sequel!

Since reading the initial post I've been imagining Dr Tone rolling down the driver side window shouting "buy any spares".

Don't you have to be dead to get a blue plaque ?

He’ll never die while he lives on in the hearts of us all.

There was a shocking attempt at a 3 point turn by another ACR in a large white van by the church after the game. He got stuck trying to do the reverse part of the manoeuvre so clearly wasn’t the original ACR.

I had forgotten about the "cycle racks" as I don't enter the ground that way these days. Are they still there?

I remember that relegation 6 pointer midweek game against Sunderland when their coach drove into the car park with Paulo Di Canio stading up at the front grinning doing a Mussolini impression, the daft fascist. I am sure somebody shouted out "it's a tank,  Il Duce, put it into reverse!".

Do you mean in that little bit of dead end road directly outside Aston Parish Church at the junction of Aston Hall Road and Witton Lane ?

Nah just around the corner as you go under the Expressway outside the pub.

edit: ...but there was an interesting stand off between someone driving up there to park and a taxi driver trying to leave before the game. Actually it wasn’t interesting at all and I didn’t hang about to see who won.
