We can also forget the farcical comments about playing kids. These ain't kids, they're generally 22+ & have been pros for a good few years!

Don't want to talk about the team. Just want to say how brilliant the fans were tonight.
What a following, made me proud. Through thick and thin no matters who's in the shirt, week in and out regardless the only thing that doesn't change. Amazing

I don't know why everyone is hanging their hat on the return of Vlaar. He ain't that bloody good, and he's certainly no Macca, Laursen or Evans. Infact, I'd say he ain't much better than Collins. I'd much rather have a fired up Dunne back.
it must be just a coincidence that since he's got injured we've got worse especially from defending. each time there's a corner we look so vulnerable.

I would like to see Dunne back too as it would instill maybe more confidence from having to defend.

All's not over though, but I would feel much better if it was just 2-1. I still think they'll come at us, a 2 goal lead is more of comfortable lead. We need to slice them up again but actually score when should have.

Call me crazy but I still think well go through
Crazy, but I agree with you...

Delusional, I would say and based on performances on the pitch not a cat in hells chance of going through, which is probably a blessing in disguise.

So sad to see Villa as poor as this, I am trying to stick with the Lambert project but fear is setting in, I dread to think what Saints will do to us, senior defenders in quick plus at least one midfield leader or I think we're sunk.

I m sorry to say it, but sack him. This a League two team ffs. How have we got 8 days into the window without buying anyone? With the worst defence I ve ever seen at Villa in 30 years.

Sorry for my ignorance, but could you clarify who you are referring to as a League Two team?
We are a league two team playing in the prem...

2 weeks to save the club. 2 defenders and 2 midfielders in. Experience and grit a requirement. Othwerwise we are down and doomed. This is as bad as I can remember given the money at stake in the PL next season and our financial position today.

Yep. If Mr Learner is doing this to make a buck, he needs to speculate, to accumulate! Get some experience in. Pay what it costs, pay the wages, or risk losing a small fortune of TV money next season!

22, 23 + is still pretty young, especially when the average age of your team is under 24.

Lambert has 2 weeks to swallow his pride and get 2 defenders and a holding midfield player in, because if we don't this side will ship too many fucking goals to stay up.

Fuck the results over Christmas, this is true, true humiliation tonight.

Lambert has a lot to do. And fast.

Get a fucking grip!  Their keeper kept them in it, and it's only half time! ;)

Thanks chap. Feel better now.

I (think) he is taking the piss.

I fear the 3rd goal will be crucial tbh.

Thinking ahead we could be 3-0 up or 4-1 up near the end of extra time which in normal circumstances would be a fairly comfortable passage through but instead it will be biting fingernails time as another goal would sent Bradford to Wembley.

To me it's 2-0 after 120 minutes or bust.

The defence needs sorting as it shouldn't be impossible to keep a clean sheet at home to Bradford, I would consider bringing Guzan back for a start as it didn't shock me we looked a mess at corners with Given in tonight.

Another point, can any new signings we might make actually be able to play in the second leg? I'm sure in the FA cup if you don't register them before the first tie, they can't play in the replay either?
