Lambert interview.... Seemed disinterested and certainly no passion. Think he's also pissed off with lack of squad

For me, Bennett isn't good enough. Had their keeper not played a blinder, and Benteke had his shooting boots on, we'd have won comfortably. They scored totally against the run of play, and held it to half time. We should have scored again whilst on top, but didn't. N'zogbia was very lively. Thought Bent unsettled the balance of the team when he came on. Weimann is worth his weight in gold. It's only half time.

Going forward we can create chances and if the Bradford keeper hadn't played out of his skin we would probably have won 4 or 5 - 3.

But we need to fix the defence - and quickly, because we are far too fragile far too often.

Their keeper didn't play out of his skin. For us to have scored more goals their keeper would have had to actually jump out of the way of the ball. Pretty much every shot went directly at him.

The players are poor, no doubt, but they don't appear even remotely organised, either. They're all over the place, all over the pitch. That's a coaching issue, and that's Lambert's responsibility. They're not improving in any way I can see, and in fact are getting markedly worse. That's Lambert's responsibility, too.

I don't think he's a very good manager.

Me either.  In fact he's the worst manager we've had since McNeill in my opinion.

Abysmal. We don't go anywhere with this  midfiled, that is the weakest I have seen ever. Plus, we were spineless and clueless. One of the worst day with the Villa that I can remember.

Not sure about the balance of the team but bennett is defo not good enough... Rest is about right.

We created bucket loads of chances. It was the defending, the leadership and the organisation that was the problem
Not capitalising on chances is so bloody frustrating especially when our defense and midfield are in such disorder.
We were absolutely terrible under McNeil for that season but the last few weeks have been on par. I thought it was a freak period, maybe not, I don't know anymore. I think if only Benteke would have buried the 2 headers and it would have looked so different, but he didn't, fucking hell.

Bradford absolutely deserved to beat us and were in no way flattered by the scoreline.

Yet again, the defence looked utterly hopeless. Yet again, the midfield were clueless and were completely bossed by the opposition.

That's the worst Villa midfield I've seen since....erm...1986-1987. Relegation would be no surprise at all now.

We've become the laughing stock of the football league. It's an absolute disgrace. I don't know where to start to be honest, we aren't good enough at board level, managerial level or playing level. The whole lot can just f*ck off tomorrow as far as I'm concerned.

As a side note the players didn't even applaud the 4,600 Villa fans there tonight at the end of the game. Wankers.

Have to agree with you, I don't know who to blame or rage at, a lot of people have come and gone over the last few years at Villa but the one constant is Lerner, I'm starting to realise Lerner is not the best owner and I'm starting to lose patience with him....
Lambert was not my first choice as manager but I backed his appointment, but saying that I'm starting to question his leadership..

Lerner was not on that pith tonight. The shite that was need to look at themselves in the mirror. If Lambert fucks the replay up then he should fuck off.

He didn't play a blinder.  He made two or three routine saves.

There is nothing complicated about it.   Our players are not good enough and our manager is not good enough.   We have deluded ourselves into thinking that the players which have come up from our academy are better than they are and we have deluded ourselves into thinking the young players Lambert has signed are better than they are.
Exactly and we can only hope that this becomes apparent to the people running and managing Aston Villa, dont hold your breath though

We are sleep walking our way to relegation. Unless action is taken this month we will be playing Championship football next season. Whoever is supposed to be in charge WAKE UP!

I agree. We miss the calm that Westwood brings so badly. Bannan without him is a headless chicken, Dleph runs a lot and does fuck all. The wide men tonight are both strikers, so did not instinctively drop into midfield to help out. We need strength, both mental and physical through the middle.
