Safely in the pub after an enjoyable afternoon at VP and probably the finest pie in the history of fine pies.  Better yet...

Joe Bennett is going to be a super-star.

Marc Albrighton has as much vision as Stephen Ireland.

Young Jordan Bowery looks a real handful.

DB scores.  Super Andy uses his excellent movement to score - I've not seen such a natural scorer at VP since the last super Andy we had.

Don't know if it is a good thing that we are through to the next round - but I am happy for the squad that they are getting away from that losing feeling.

Next up - Valley Parade - where I don't mind if the pies are crap as long as we come away with hope for VP.

UTV.

Well done lads and especially Joe Bennett. Nice to see Southampton getting battered at home before next week as well.

Add to that Sunderland and Wigan having replay games.

Also QPR and Fulham

Job job.
Positives for me:
Clark is a real player. With an experienced partner alongside him, he could be immense.
Bowery looked very positive and grew into the game.
Zog looked interested at times.
Negatives.
Ireland, just fuck off, you ball watching waste of space.

A Villa win was the least my Villa supporting father deserves on his 70th birthday.

Well done lads.

Happy Birthday young man!

Tell him the Villa fans send best wishes Rudy.

Much needed win.

Delph - played well and was very comfortable on the ball.

Bent - good finish, good performance.

Gabby- looked a threat and looked fit.

N'Zogbia - usual indifferent game, good assist for Bent.

Bowery - not bad at all, always looking to get on his right foot, but promising game.

Weimann - could become a Villa legend if he keeps on improving. (If we can keep hold of him)

Job done. Great to see so many injuries back - could do with getting Vlaar back in middle of defence asap.  Some good saves by Given, Bennett impressed, Delph was very assured in midfield, Bent and Weimann great goals, good set up by N'Zog for Bent's, wide left probably not Bowery's best position but showing promise, Ireland can do one. Disappointing attendance for a 3 o'clock Saturday kick off.  Was there a cheap deal for families - loads of people with kids in the UJpper Holte. Nice to be able to look forward to the draw tomorrow.

Obviously didn't see it, due to excessive amounts of spewing, but whilst it didn't sound a classic it was positive.  Came from behind and we got some playing time for several players back from injury.  Although we did lose Albrighton to a knock, I know most of you will shrug at that, but I still feel there's a player in there somewhere, according to their awful commentators he looked bright early on too.

To be a little fairer to him, he looked ok against Swansea. I know he will have to do better before he gets people off his back but it's a start.

Thought both Bennett and Delph were great today.
Bennett seems to be getting better with every game, got a few tricks and quick feet too.
Bent had a good game, he looked hungry and  didn't stop talking to Bowery.
Bowery was a handful and was unlucky not to score. Got a deserved ovation when he came off.
And not to forget Given, two wonderful saves.

The fact that bent played and is now cup tied suggests we will be keeping hold of him hopefully too.
I hope we keep him too, but being cup tied wont bother one of his potential suitors, Newcastle. Nile Ranger and Sammy Ameobi are the only two available strikers for their next game. Don't hold your breath just yet!

I didn't see any of the game as stuck in work today but delighted to see us win and even better that we fought back from a goal down.

The manager said he would rotate and he did so to good effect with the players brought in all seeming to make a contribution (Given, N'Zogbia, Bent and Bowery)

I can look forward to the albeit brief highlights later on now and then the draw for the next round!

Weimann changed it for us, great energy and movement. Great header from a great cross. Albrighton will never be good enough IMO. Fair play to Charlie, great ball for DB9 who showed us what a great finisher he is.

I'm conviced Bent won't be sold now this window.  He would be cup tied reducing his value.
