Actually looking forward to watching MOTD tonight, albeit probably only for about 30 seconds.

The other bonus(es) from today: Sunderland, Fulham, QPR and Wigan all have replays to contend with now, also Newcastle & Southampton both received confidence bashing thumpings!

It's on ITV with that smug scouser.

Second game running we've come from behind to get something. Good to see there's still fight in that dressing room.
I think that is part of the logic of Lambert's youth policy!

The fact that bent played and is now cup tied suggests we will be keeping hold of him hopefully too.

Well done lads and especially Joe Bennett. Nice to see Southampton getting battered at home before next week as well.

Add to that Sunderland and Wigan having replay games.

As people have said job well done and good introduction back from injuries for some players.

Good to see Nottingham Forest doing so well now that they have a premiership manager! :)

Good to get the win.

Even better that Baker, Gabby, Bent and N'zog all got a match before the semi and Southampton. Hopefully Vlaar isn't too far away.

The key is that we now have options. He rested Benteke and can now leave Ireland where he belongs - on his backside. I'd play Gabby, Bent and Benteke on Tuesday and bring Weimann on if we need to.

Not getting carried away but it feels like we are over the psychological trauma of Chelsea now.

iMO I would play the same team that started today but Gabby for Marc. That way we keep Weimann and Benteke fresh for Southampton and give Gabs and Bent an extra match to get match fit.

Will Gabby be fit enough to start against Bradford? Surprised Bent lasted the whole game baring in mind how little football he's had and how he broke down against Norwich when he started.

Sounds like we're going back to 4-2-3-1 so I don't know how Bent fits into that when Benteke plays. At least with Weimann, he can play as an inside forward. Good to see Andi started to score regularly now btw - he's turning into a good little poacher. Benteke, Bent and Weimann (still a question mark over Gabby for me) are a good choice of strikers. We just need a bit more depth to the defence and to totally sort out the midfield.

Just checked the full time Villa score and didn't shout FFS! Is there something wrong with me? What is this strange warm feeling after checking a Villa score?

Obviously didn't see it, due to excessive amounts of spewing, but whilst it didn't sound a classic it was positive.  Came from behind and we got some playing time for several players back from injury.  Although we did lose Albrighton to a knock, I know most of you will shrug at that, but I still feel there's a player in there somewhere, according to their awful commentators he looked bright early on too.

@MatKendrick: Marc Albrighton limping away from the ground with his foot in a protective boot. Seems to have twisted his foot. #avfc
