Richard Jones has been signed on loan from Worcestershire to shore up our attack.

Richard Jones

If he can't get into their team in division two he's hardly going to set the world alight in division one. Let's hope he turns out to be another Chris Wright.

Need to get The Brylcreem Boy's Boy's Boy out. Game getting away from us at present. Wouldn't want to have to chase down much more than 200 with probably less than two sessions to get them.

Kieswetter howled by Barker for a duck. 159 for 5.

That is a vital wicket. Kieswetter always does well against us.

If we can get the remaining 5 wickets in reasonable time then it's game on.

A fiery spell from Gordon before lunch, in which he hit Trego on the hand which required attention.

We need a breakthrough pretty quickly. The lead is 181 with time ticking on.

Come on You Bears!!

And Patel gets one, 248 - 8, lead 181.

Clearly the scorebook will record it as AWR Barrow c Evans b Patel 39, however I'm claiming it!!

All out, we need 189 to win... probably not enough time but you never know.

Yes - Brian Halford has tweeted to say exactly that. He also said that it won't be straightforward, it's cloudy and humid so the ball is swinging and the pitch is offering assistance to the spinners.

Surely we can treat it a bit like a one day knock? There must be at least 40 overs to go? Put Clarke and Evans up the order to get things moving. Whatever happens, a great effort considering our depleted bowling attack!

Bears 10/0 Trego off field after blow on hand batting against Gordon. X-ray later
