Don't forget Barker and Clarke are bowling with ankle injuries, Gordon in his first championship game. Woakes and Rankin both away playing for England teams, the fact that Dockrell took 6 wkts in the Bears innings suggests pitch is taking fair amount of spin. So to me a fairly reasonable decision.
