A little disappointed, but would have been delighted with a point before kick-off (and for most of the first half, too) so can't complain.  Stopped the rot.  January is a big month in shaping the immediate future of the club.

Mentioned this in the "is the Baggies still a big game" thread. They were organising it for the game on 19th. Very poor considering the origins of the idea of the 19th minute applause (of which they are totally aware).

It is the idea of a bunch of hate-filled morons, yes, but I say they should carry on and embarrass themselves.

fans of a football club dont criticise every decision made  they look for hope when there is none. Having been off this site over crimbo some of the abuse Lambert and Lerner have taken is shocking. You Fletch and your pal from IOM do nothing to support the club. Hardman? is that an invitation to the Bartons? if so see you against Ipswich. The negativity you spout is shocking.
Look Hippo, I spend plenty of hard earned money following Villa, so I don't know where you get 'you do nothing to support the club.'
As I said in the previous post, I'll write what I think and you'll put up with it.

And can you wind it in please as well.

Wind what in?
The answer I gave was not abusive and perfectly acceptable.
Do you expect me not to react when I'm told I do 'nothing to support the club?'

So changing his name twice was just an accident and not meant to be provocative?

I'd love it if we was to just ignore them, but it won't happen. Small time hate filled club that are still jealous of us. Even during their best period in their recent history they feel the need to obsess over us
Its a compliment really, they know their place

So it was deliberately done to provoke him, so now you know why I asked you to wind it in. The same as he's been told to.

We crumble like flakey pastry under pressure..we need a strong man or two at the back!

That flakey pastry can be tough as fuck if you over cook it.

West Brom are a nothing club, f*ck them. They're not our biggest rivals, looks like they're trying to be but it'll never happen as they're not on our radar. Whilst I don't advocate violence their actual biggest rivals - Wolves - always batter them home & away whenever they used to play them so maybe they're looking elsewhere to try and be top dogs. They're wasting their time, I think I'll join up their equivalent of H&V and start reminding them what a bunch of nothings they are.  They're just wankers. Up this season they'll go down the next.

Except it wasn't free as Hoppo was warned twice and he then apologised.

4 4 2 two banks of four a lot more solid lookin Mr Lambert, simple

Except we could have been 4-0 down after 20 minutes. Not so simple in my view

That's down to the confidence in the team IMO, after they had ridden the storm 442 looked loads more solid, not to mention its the system all these kids are used to

It's a 4-4-2 without the ball and more of a 4-2-3-1 with. The important thing is that Benteke and Weimann have such a great understanding between the two of them - one will run beyond and the other will give the midfield more options and help. This ain't the Mike Bassett-esque 4-4-2 of MON, where the midfield two would constantly look isolated and outnumbered - at least one of the forwards (usually Weimann) is always closer to the midfield two to make it a three. It works nicely - we just need to get a better N'Zogbia/Albrighton type and stop - fecking - conceding!

I agree with you totaly, my original post was more the flat back four with four midfielders in front when we are defending as opposed to a back three with AWOL wingbacks

We didn't in the second half until that mad flurry at the end, even then it was a case of a bad bit of defending by Holman putting the defence under the cosh, these things happen.
A team this young, with so many that probably aren't really of Premiership standard, needs self-belief to compete above their level, it had been knocked out of them by the Chelsea thrashing and only started to creep back when Weimann scored, then we looked much better.
