Great point but the injury situation is still a real worry

Even more so with Westwood and Clark.

Westwood would be a massive blow. We look a better side with him in it.

Ref was shit.  Swansea were falling over for free kicks and Michus chop on Westy was nasty. Should have held on and won.

Least he gave us a penalty

2 defenders over 28 yrs of age, a big dominating hard man in the centre who can pass and a number 10 behind Benteke in January please

All but the latter, as long as Weimann and Benteke stay fit we'll be alright if we get a midfielder who can pass to them.

I am so irritated that Holman didn't try to stop Dyer for the cross for 2-2...strolled past him, didn't back track....AAAARGH

Clark looked in tears at the end.  It's nice to see players give a shit.

Atrocious 1st half, much better in the 2nd.

Just about deserved a point. A win would have been a mugging.

Gutted. The central defence won almost everything in the air all game and fought like lions, just a shame we let that last one in, I really thought Guzan should have done better.

Overall, ouplayed for 35 minutes before we decided to turn up. After that we fought for everything, closed down the space pressed them all over the pitch and with Benteke and Andi up front, always looked threatening. A hard fought point that I would have taken before the game.

Glad to see the fighting spirit again we haven't seen since Liverpool match. Another point to the total, the rollercoaster continues.

Obviously that was a real kick in the balls, but considering we would have taken 2-2 before the game, I think we should be saitisfied.
I sensed that there was a bit more belief about us second half, and just maybe, Lambert earned his corn at half time.
Some positives:-
We have stopped the immediate rot.
Players should start coming back from injury.
We may see some signings soon.
A week off from pressure of the league.

Just trying to keep a bright outlook.

Trying to get over my annoyance at losing the lead in the end but we've got a real partnership up front.  That's good.

Would've took the result before the game, and considering everything we probably didn't quite deserve to win the game. It's stopped the rot and results elsewhere have really gone in our favour so far this afternoon, I'm quite pleased.

This reminds me greatly (as I predicted in the pre-match thread) of the 1-1 with Newcastle 3 games into this season.

But we looked much more impressive against Newcastle that day and probably should have won.
