Would have taken a point even after the Liverpool game.  Good result.  We can forget the Christmas games now and move on.

Would've took the result before the game, and considering everything we probably didn't quite deserve to win the game. It's stopped the rot and results elsewhere have really gone in our favour so far this afternoon, I'm quite pleased.

This reminds me greatly (as I predicted in the pre-match thread) of the 1-1 with Newcastle 3 games into this season.

A decent result but another abject performance, particularly first half.  Swansea should have been out of sight by half time.

Only the first-half, in the second we were better than them.

And we should have beaten Arse and Stoke. We didn't; nor did Swansea today.

Didn't see the game but given the first twenty minutes a point is a good result still. Sounded like the spirit improved after an horrific opening 20 minutes. Benteke and weimann are a good partnership.

None of this should mask the deficiencies in midfield and defence. I don't think I ever want to see herd at cb again, and I don't think Clark should be first choice.

With Westwood getting injured - any views on how serious? - and kea in Africa, surely we absolutely have to get a physically strong central midfielder in?

Can't complain too much about that result, considering the penalty they should have had.

Disagrees shouldn't have even been a free-kick!

Bloody hell that was the most obvious penalty I have seen this season!

Well the Orange Dot got us something.  Could really have lost that by 5 or 6 the way they played in the first 20 minutes - as someone said on the match thread the post was our best player - and they should have had a penalty before we got one, so I suppose a point is fair and at least stops the rot. Still gutted though

fuck. couldn't defend and hold our nerve when we needed to, that's really disappointing because coming up with a win today would of been big. oh well, at least we go above wigan...

Very happy with the point considering how they battered us early on.

Great point but the injury situation is still a real worry

I suppose we should be grateful, we're utterly shit but still somehow managed to get a point.
Reading and Wigan losing is a bonus.

Hope Westwood isn't too seriously injured, because with him we at least have a midfield presence. Now before we play Southampton, we could do with some injured players back and signing 3 quality players, 5 by the end of January.
