Could easily get turned over 2 or 3 nil here. We've ridden our luck in the last couple of games a bit. But I also think there's a genuine chance we can get a good result here too. Hopefully Chelsea will be tired after their travels to the cultural remoteness of the Far East and Yorkshire. Hopefully our confidence will make a big impact. Even though we didn't have a huge amount of possession on Saturday, some of the zippyness in our passing was really noticeable, especially from the likes of Bannan.

Chelsea knackered from a trip to Japan and a hard game at Leeds.
Chelsea 2 (McCreadie, Tambling) Aston Villa 3 (Chatterley, Deakin, Tindall)

I have been predicting Villa defeats for a few games in a row now. So I might as well keep the run going.

I was left disappointed on Saturday after we failed to live up to my Liverpool 0 Villa 11 prediction.
We'll have to go one better to make amends. Chelsea 0 Villa 12.

Unbeaten run continues ... even though we only field Benteke in the first XI.
Managers XI 2 - 2 Us
Spanish ladyboy and Richard Hazard Marx for them.
Benteke with 11 shots on target, 4 goals disallowed.ﹰ

Should be a fun game. I can see Lambert changing formation again (for good or ill it is who he is). I assume a loss (that Chelsea midfield three is world class) but who knows, we can be a handful for most teams in the league.
I do know I look forward to big games like this instead of dreading them like I used to.

Back to earth with a bump I think. Although, as we all know, anything could happen.
A point would be nice, three would be fantastic.
Haven't predicted a score line for a while, but going with 1-0 to Chelsea.
