And to add, tonight's performance give me more hope for the future than a lot of our insipid performances against this lot over the years did.
That was brilliant for 60 minutes or so. By taking it to them we really gave them a game.So why the fuck did our manager decide that he had had enough and take off our main threats?.I'm sorry but it has to be said, KEA and Delph are shit. They offer nothing. And to play them together is just telling the opposisitionnthat you have no intention of trying to go forward and attack. I really can't stand this fucking ultra safe shit. We had enough last year. Benteke, you my son will be a legend, if you really want it you can truly be great.

I hate the plucky loser tag as much as anyone. However, all last year when we were giving away three points before a ball was kicked, numerous folks said on here that as long as we didn't roll over and die (like the Arsenal game) then they'd be more forgiving. Well we didn't roll over and die so what's changed?

Well we didn't roll over and die so what's changed? Far point, but the frustrating thing is that we did roll over at 2-0. Otherwise we'd have got something from the game. It's a psychological thing, it happens all the time against these c***s.Their wanker fans and that combine to make this the one fixture I absolutely loathe. It's just so predictable.

That's true. Then again, though, I remember saying exactly the same thing under Houllier when we threw away a 2 goal lead against these wankers. I liked the shape we had today, Lambert needs to find some consistency with that and work on it.I know there's a rational response to every negative thing I can say here, but I just feel so fucking pig sick, I can't stand it.
Quote from: hawkeye on November 10, 2012, 07:53:36 PMLike all on here we are just sick of the plucky loser tag that we get against them, it is thier favourite ground dont you know. I dont give a shit about how well we played, the idea that if we play like that every week we will be fine, we wont. No we reserve these sepecially interesting games for the Sky TV viewers and confirm every time that the decision they made (those sad glory hunting wankers that no fuck all about anything)to support Man Utd was the right one. I am fucking sick of it. Thats all.Have to say, I agree with you.

You compare our squad with theirs and 9 times out of 10 they'll win. All our lads can do is work their balls off, which they did, and hope for the best.I know the run is too long but you can't really hold that against any of these players, bar maybe Gabby, or Lambert. They're basically all new and they made a much better fist of it than many who've gone before.Beating Man Utd isn't easy and it's made even harder when you're trying to do it on the cheap, as we are. We're rebuilding (again) properly from scratch so I do think the quality of our performance matters. And it was a good performance so, gutted as I am, I do think that's something to hold on to.
