Average of team 23, that tells me we are definitely a work in progress but there are real signs of improvements. Not one team member should feel disappointed in performance.

Like all on here we are just sick of the plucky loser tag that we get against them, it is thier favourite ground dont you know. I dont give a shit about how well we played, the idea that if we play like that every week we will be fine, we wont. No we reserve these sepecially interesting games for the Sky TV viewers and confirm every time that the decision they made (those sad glory hunting wankers that no fuck all about anything)to support Man Utd was the right one.   Play like that every week and i would be very happy.

  Benteke played very well, Gabbys pace was a constant threat, as was Weimanns movement.The midfield 3 of Bannan, Westwood and Ireland looked very promising.We played against a better Ure team than i thought rednose would pick, and quite honestly didn't deserve to lose.

Much as i hate their supporters, i do admire their team, we matched them with kids, and thats very encouraging.Kept the ball very well today, and we have a bargain in Benteke.

Same as me. They are a good side but the glory hunting supporters piss me off.

So proud of the Villa boys tonight. Lambert will get it right and we will move up the table.

Far point, but the frustrating thing is that we did roll over at 2-0. Otherwise we'd have got something from the game. It's a psychological thing, it happens all the time against these ******.

Their wanker fans and that combine to make this the one fixture I absolutely loathe. It's just so predictable.

Come on, let's have a bit of perspective. The team they put out today cost them something like 160 million. Ours cost about 20 million, max, yet we matched them for most of the game. And we have a young squad and a new manager. I'm really encouraged by that performance. I'm genuinely optimistic for the first time in ages.

 Yes i partly agree with you Holtender.Gabby needs to work at keeping the ball, too often it gets to Gabby and we lose the ball.He has fantastic pace, and that is a constant threat, but he needs to add consistency, but that is his position.

 Westwood really impressed me tonight, likes to keep the ball, always looks for a pass out of defence, and has confidence to receive the ball at all times.Looks a good prospect.

 If you look at the 2nd and 3rd goals, Bannan miskicks a clearance, and from the cross they score, and Clark?loses his man in the last minute for them to get the winner.A lot of them mistakes will be ironed out, but the longer his team plays, the more they get used to each other, and they will get better.

 Benteke looked a beast tonight, and Weimann for all his faults , always looks like scoring, and his movement off the ball is the best we have at the club.Ireland played very well , because he has a bloke up front he knows can hold it up, and players like Gabby and Weimann who have movement and pace.We lost against probably the 5/6th best team in Europe, not a big disgrace to me.
