Just posted this in the pre-match about the club, but realised it also applies to the fans as well.

I'd just like to add that I fecking hate these wankers, probably even more than I do small heath.

I'm quite glad that I can't afford to go to this one. Which probably means we'll win just to spite me! I'll take the win every time mind.

Despite the above though, they have played some of the best football I've seen in my lifetime, and who wouldn't envy that ?.........but thats not the point !

It's funny, I don't really hate any of the team anymore.

For all his faults Rooney is one of the best English players of the last 20 years imo, Van Persie is arguably the best player in the premier league, Valencia is one of my favourite non-villa players and the likes of De Gea, Rafael, Carrick, Fletcher, Wellbeck etc I really have no opinion either way.

Same for the manager aswell. I think with the longevity he's been there, you just have to respect what Fergie does there year in year out and most of his rants don't make much sense anyway.

Yeah wouldn't shock me tbh and I'd be equally as delighted.

Goals: Taylor 51, Phil Neville 53 og.

A horrible evening.  There were Mancs running around off their faces and the atmosphere was awful, I saw one bloke get started on despite the fact that his only companion was his son who looked no more than 8 years old. There was a Villa fan sitting by us who bought his glory hunting mate. He kept fairly quiet but when the third went in everyone lost their rag (including me) and started having a pop so they were forced to leave.

There were Mancs below us in the Witton and they were having a go throughout the game, acting like the worst fuckin' nose's imaginable.

Then the final straw was the pitch invasion, with their players carried off shoulder high. This was a catalyst for me and it wasn't long after that I gave up my season ticket and I haven't had one since. I've seen far worse trouble at close hand and seen more crushing defeats but this night was one of the most unpleasant time I have experienced watching football.

And that includes 030303.

It was a pisser thats for sure.

03/03/03 will always stand out though as the evilest atmosphere in Villa Park history.

I was at that cup match with my old man who supports utd. I was giving him shit when we were 2-0 up so most around us knew he was utd. Once the equalise went in and the pitch invasions happened for the second time, it got quite uncomfortable for the rest of the  match. We were sat upstairs in the Holte End...

They really are an obnoxious bunch.

It makes me laugh when Plastic mancs say the hate liverpool. If they'd been born 10 years earlier they would have been Livepoool 'fans'. Glory hunting muppets!

Amen to that. Horrible. People falling down rows of seats and all sorts. As a 16yr old, it made quite an impression, let alone the police sh*t going on outside the ground after.
