Just watched the goals, Gabby's was a great finish.

Fair play to him, was a good goal but he must carry that on in the premier league - probably done enough to retain his place last night - lets hope he delivers on Saturday.

I'm a massive Gabby fan still. He hasn't had a great couple of seasons, and people like me probably do make up too many excuses for him, but  eveb when not scoring he offers us an outlet with that pace. He will outrun most defenders in the league and will chase lost causes.

He scores when he wants. To the tune of The City is Ours.

Also "Wooaah Christian Benteke" to the tune of Seven Nation Army.

Also,

'He's Belgian-Congolose, He'll knock you out with ease!
Benteke woooooah, Benteke woooooooooooah'

We really need to get everyone singing one of these.

And,

Benteke, woooah, Benteke woooah
He lives in Perry Bar, he'll fucking rob your car

The seven nation army version was good last night though with the whole away ends jumping up and singing it

Any Villa fans sit in the home end last night?

The BBC was reporting 67% possession to Swindon. That can't be right, come on, someone tell me they've fucked that up.

From about 6 seconds in, I would respectfully suggest that this would work, uncomplicated yet rousing with a hint of Belgique je ne sais quo.

Yep heard that, sounded a bit like doug, was very critical calling the club a shambles from top to bottom - pity he was cut short as he sounded really old and disrespectful to cut him short .

I've always been quite fond of Di Canio and his effusive Italian ways but that little thing at the end was just childish and disrespectful. Cheeky prick.

I think he is a bit like Holloway. Seems kinda funny until it involves us then we see what a dick he is.

I was talking to a Swindon fan on the way home and he said that they were quite aware of what a wanker Di Canio is.

I missed this - what did Di Canio do at the end of the game?

Just seen the goals on SSN. I confirm the rumours that Di Canio is indeed a twat.

Class finishing earnt the win tonight. Lambert nearly cost us by refusing to bring on fresh legs. Another limp, spineless display by Ireland, don't want to see the overpaid, burnt out player in a villa shirt again. The last minute winner was even sweeter seeing that prick Di Canio acting up on the pitch after the whistle. God I was glad it didn't go into extra time, it was fukin freezing.

Ireland set-up the first and was lively throughout according to 5Live.

Yep he played well apparently, but some people do seem to have an agenda against him.

Concrete John- at final whistle Di Canio was using Vision On type sign language which sort of indicated that he thought the home supporters were better than the away fans or that his players had performed better that Villa- difficult to really understand and he should be careful waving his arms about as it could be misinterpreted. Think he was upset with ' F**k off Di Canio, Madonna said No' chant which I thought was v good.

Indeed. There's been other players who i'm sure haven't performed to "his standard" in games this season, but I can't remember him singling anyone out like that. Just strikes me as very unprofessional.

It is an slightly ridiculous as he apparently shoved him on the wing and he still scored two.

I turned round and headed for the exit on the final whistle (it was bloody cold) so I missed it as well...

Came out to thank the Swindon fans for their support (fair enough) but then proceeded to point at us lot, make a gesture that our club is in the lower reaches of the Premier League and is going to go down, then points at all the Swindon fans makes gesture to suggest high in their league and going up.  When he then gets the reaction he wants, he proceeds to repeat it several times.  Each to their own I suppose.

I agree about Gabby's goal, it was a lovely finish but he had several touches, not all of them very good.

Still, it's the ball in the back of the net that counts.
