What was worrying listening to the game last night, and seeing us against Fulham and Norwich in the flesh, is  how many times we give the ball straight back to the opposition straight after winning it back ourselves. It happened countless times the previous two Saturdays and unless we remedy that then we will always be struggling to win games and gather momentum. What is particular worrying is how often we win the ball in our box, faff around with it and give it away. Fulham had a few early chances that they should have taken and Norwich should have scored 4.

curiousorange: strange comment about Benteke getting a taste for scoring 'all of a sudden'. They were his ninth and tenth of the season.

The passing was poor last night
Interesting that they think they outplayed us. We were comfy in the 1st half, and apart from 2 seperate 15 minute spells, they didn't really worry me. Their 2nd goal seemed to wake us and there was only one team going to score from there

Perc, all I meant was that he got his first against Swansea then took brickbats for the next four games for missing sitters. I know statistically he's been consistent this season but that doesn't tell the whole story.

He scores when he wants. To the tune of The City is Ours.

Also "Wooaah Christian Benteke" to the tune of Seven Nation Army.

Also,

'He's Belgian-Congolose, He'll knock you out with ease!
Benteke woooooah, Benteke woooooooooooah'

We really need to get everyone singing one of these.

Agreed, if we do it against better opposition we will be punished. On Sat, Norwich were just as bad as us. The worst ones were Delph and Albrighton.

I've always been quite fond of Di Canio and his effusive Italian ways but that little thing at the end was just childish and disrespectful. Cheeky prick.

I think he is a bit like Holloway. Seems kinda funny until it involves us then we see what a dick he is.

I was talking to a Swindon fan on the way home and he said that they were quite aware of what a wanker Di Canio is.

Really pleased to see Gabby net one, and I'm going to be a bit controversial here, but I don't think he'd have got that in the Premier League.  His first touch was far too loose and the ball would have been snaffled up by a better class of defender, IMO.

Just watched the goals, Gabby's was a great finish.

Fair play to him, was a good goal but he must carry that on in the premier league - probably done enough to retain his place last night - lets hope he delivers on Saturday.

Nothing controversial about that - when he was at his best was when Carew was causing havoc physically to the opposition giving him time and space.

They seem to play up to him though, fair play when they equalised and the whole ground sang Paulo Di Canio it was bloody loud! Fuck off Di Canio at the end was better though!
