Westwood 'shitting the place up'? Hardly he's been good and very promising.

Do his opinions merit a patronising, if not disparaging response as to what type of place he works.  You might disagree with what he says, but to then equate that to his job is in poor taste in my view.

Have a day off Captain sensible. We're only having the craic.

If I remember rightly Captain Sensible was oxymoronic in the sense that he was anything other than sensible in appearance :-)

One of the few positives in this Annus horribilis! Amazing what some people see.

Darren Bent to Stoke would be a complete pisstake.

Someone told me he was up here at the KC stadium in Hull yesterday.

I wonder if Steve Bruce makes a nice cuppa?

So, does 2 + 2 = Bent being the latest footballer to have a dabble with Potato Head's daughter?

Wasn't he involved with Potato Heads daughter at time he moved to us ?

This probably applies to why we didnt get sissoko as well-

Redknapp does rue the club’s failure to pinch another Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who joined Newcastle for a cut-price £3.5million last week.

He said: “Sissoko’s a fantastic signing. I’d liked to have got him but Newcastle have absolutely nicked him.

“He’s a real powerhouse and I saw him destroy the England under 21 team a couple of years ago - he was the best player on the pitch. He’ll be a real good player in England.

“We didn’t really get that near to him - we were just told that he wouldn’t come here.

“The figures were very high but it still worked out cheap as there was no transfer fee. But he’s a good siging and I think Newcastle will do well with the players they have signed.”

I'm talking about the Bannan, Westwood and Delph combination. Possibly the worst midfield that Villa have ever had. Put Diame and KEA in the centre or possibly Diame and Westwood and we would be twice the side we are now.

Well, we've tried putting KEA in there and it's not exactly worked!

Westwood and Bannan have been our best pairing in terms of possession and use of the ball, but then they do lack something defensively when we're under the cosh.

They lack a lot defensively, and they often end up too deep to influence the attacks. Westwood can do good defensive things - he must have a very high interceptions-per-game count - but Bannan in there just looks terribly weird.

I've said this a few times but Bannan needs a free role. He'd look a much better player for it.

Coutinho arriving at melwood - another class player missed.

I doubt we was ever in the running. Too expensive. He probably has the quality, but is he what we needed?

Id say our best combination have been westwood and delph.
