I dont think there's any need to move Bent on yet.
Get Hutton and Warnock off the wage bill and use the money that we have to get a couple of decent players in.

Good players are heading from Europe to clubs that are struggling in this league. There's no good reason I can thnk of why we cant get two or three in.
I think we're heading for last day drama again personally. Like we did in the summer.
When there's no more room to manoeuvre, when the games of bluff and counter bluff are done with you have two choices: Do or do not. We'll see how it really is on Thursday.

Hopefully it won't be case of '5 to 2am: grab a fat'n, she'll do'.

One final check before you get in the taxi mind - sometimes it's not always best to share the fare

Warnock and Hutton going = Lescott's wages/loan fee for the rest of the season?

City wont let lescott go, they are a bit short of defenders .

It beggars belief that you can be crap for a couple of years and rewarded with a contract in sunny Mallorca.

Agree - Kompany is booking  prone and they still are pushing for League at the moment.

Well Lambert has confirmed in the press conference Hutton and Warnock will be gone by the end of the window. Let's hope that does free up some money to bring in a couple.

Probably means he has more room to manoeuvre on wages - pity the likes of sissoko have gone .
I take it warnock is off to west ham?

I think, as Dave W pointed out in one of the threads, the details of Sissoko's contract at Newcastle points to the reasons why he was never going to be a Villa player this window!

I don't care - not a bad signing on paper though TSM could make any half decent player terrible.

Can we send Ireland to Timbuktu?

I said the same thing to someone the other day. They're going to love him.

The likes of Sissoko are just going to go to whoever pays the most. Remy is a good example.

Right surely if they're going we must have some room to manouver.

Well 2m off the wage bill for the next 6 months would be a great start. Not sure if Mallorca would/could cover all Hutton's wages mind.

We certainly can't let Bent go. Weimann and Benteke may be the future but I think Bent could be vital in keeping us up this season. Plus if he goes, the three clubs mentioned have been QPR, Fulham and Sunderland. One who we will definately be scrapping with and two probable rivals.

If only one player can come in, the priority is defensive centre midfield.

I can't see Bent going now as that would be a big deal and something would have leaked from 'arry, who'll either be after him or telling everyone who is!

Whichever way it goes, be it loans, young signings or overseas players, we need a CB and a DCM to help stop us leaking goals so easily.  At least the CB should be PL experienced, but I won't cry if he's not.

On the presumption that Dunne's close to fitness, I'd agree with that.

We must sign at least one player.
