The "We'll be fine" or 'The players are really fine" lines are the ones that really piss me off. It is clear the players are not 'fine' or they wouldn't perform to the same abject standard week after week.

To be fair the January window is the mercenaries (players and agents) Xmas as they can name their price and won't accept a relegation clause. If that is the case I would rather not sign them personally as you will be saddled with a huge heap of shite just like the Pompeys of this world (and indeed Bloos with Zigic). The real issue is that we did not strengthen enough before the season started - a gamble that may well have failed.   

We are feeling a bit raw understandably after recent events but we have to stick by the manager and team for better or worse.

Its not a u-turn. Lambert was asked about other clubs spending. He said that it was for them to decide whether to spend and put themselves at risk if they got relegated but he wouldnt do that at Villa. In other words, I wont spend in case we get relegated.

Honestly I have no idea why but it seems the club want us to fail. Seriously. At the beginning of the window the club and Lambert were bullishly making noises about new signings. Now nothing.

It is just a disgrace.
