Beginning to think we're waiting on loan deals. It doesn't take this long to buy players who are surplus to requirements at their clubs, and lets be honest thats the market we're in now.. Loans on the other hand require the loaning club to at least have some cover and of course we've got the defeatist faulkner/Lerner mindset of not spending a fortune when we could be in the championship next season

I think Wenger said yesterday everyone is waiting till the last week, as the prices will drop and you can get the players you want.

Got a feeling in my urine that Huddlestone will be in on loan.

He's been quoted by AVB to be pretty much first choice now that Sandro is out for the year. Non-starter I'm afraid.

Really? Ah well, strange though, my liquid effluent is normally on the money.

As Shakira once sang 'The piss don't lie.'

Maybe they'll bring in a replacement for Sandro?

Was it Stephens who scored that screamer against Blackburn?

It was him.  Interestingly, the footage of his goal on SSN was preceded by a comment on his small stature, with the presenter saying he is only 5' 5".  Not exactly what we need at the moment.

Maybe a Bid for Scott Parker then?

Tbh, there's not much movement anywhere.

I do think Livermore will be a good player, but not what we need atm.

Still expect 2 signings in the window, every transfer window since RL has been here, we have moaned and worried and the he has delivered, still expect him to do so.

That was lost in translation.

It was "the pies don't lie", a lament on Richard Dunne's achillies heel.

I really don't think we are anywhere near as bad as people are making out.  Vlaar, Gabby and N'Zogbia coming back made a big difference.  Delph showed flashes of what could be if he improves his consistency.   We coped well with the early injury but Delph getting injured was a disaster.  The main problem we have is that some of the players lack experience and most importantly confidence, so when we do concede a goal they shit themselves and run around like headless chickens.

We've had a lot of bad luck with injuries.  If it was me, in this window I would put all my eggs in one basket and blow the whole budget (whatever it is) on a quality experienced central midfielder.  Gamble that we don't get lots more injuries.

A fully fit Stan in the centre of our midfield would make us a mid-table side in my opinion.

You only have to check the table to see how bad we've been this season.
And sadly, Petrov will never play for us again.

Someone of his quality (who were cannot afford it seems).

The table doesn't lie but we have been really unlucky with injuries to our senior players.  That isn't a reflection of how poor our first team is.

That's what his Wiki profile says, but the Charlton website has him at 5'7".  Noone seems to know!!

The strategy is simple. At the start of the window we're asking for a top international standard player to boost our squad. By January 29th we're so desperate we're happy to get some fucking reserve on loan from Spurzzz.

Sorry but why should we have beaten Norwich at home?  We were awful that day!
We were winning until Bennett got sent off, we might have won with 11 v 11

Ah I see what you mean. I think their official site is probably far more likely to be correct than a wiki article. He suddenly doesn't sound quite so appealing anymore.
