Keiron Dyer FFS! He probably fractured his wrist whilst waving good bye to his QPR team mates.

Can't see Sneijder going to Turkey. It would be a shame as he belongs in a top league.
Anyway, its possible it affects our bid for Coutinho but he's either going to be used or he isn't and if he isn't then they'll want money for him. I don't think an £8m (so cheap) bid for Sneijder balances the books but we'll see. Could be the first of a few bids as was the case with Benteke for instance.

But the fact we're bidding that much for what you might argue is a little down the list of priorities (no that we dont need a player like that) is encouraging.
Maybe we should hijack Galatasarays bid for Sneijder ;)

Looks like we'll be going into the Southampton game without any new arrivals to lift the squad then. Just hope we don't get a similar reaction to the one after the chelsea game because  there's three or four players in that team who need to be taken out the firing line and quick.

Still nothing on the defence front then? fucking hell, I'm getting a bit nervous now. I appreciate there's still lots of days left in the month, but we need reinforcements immeadiately.

Christ why not re-sign Aaron Hughes, Steven Davis, and Eirik Bakke?

In fairness Aaron Hughes would be a better option at the moment.

My worry is,is that we are just not an attractive proposition at the moment. We've hit the worst possible form at the worst possible time and the one thing we had going for us The League cup final we've practically thrown that away too. It's all very depressing. We needed people in from day 1 of the transfer window and it hasn't happened.Couldn't believe it when PL said he'd get the cup game out of the way before looking at transfers. Why???? Most other clubs can manage to play important games and sign players at the same time

Let's get Cutis Davies back.

I did'nt think he was that bad when he was here, he was ok up until his shoulder injury. There's better out there though.

What about Darren Anderton, Michael Owen and Kieron Dyer? They could all sit in the treatment room until 6 weeks before the World Cup and then declare themselves fit for selection. Definitely worth a gamble.

Just sign a couple of quality defenders and midfielders Lambert. We need players in now.

Our team is notorious for keeping potential transfers very tightly under the wraps, remember last summer when the transfers of Westood for example only became to light when it was basicly done and dusted?

I'm not sure is our MO better than, for example, Liverpool's who leaks almost everything, at least their fans know who the potential targets are but they can run into the trouble that some other club tries to hijack the transfer or player/selling team starts to demand more money.

Lerner's in a stick or bust situation. Don't spend and we look likely to be in the thick of it come May. Spend and we could still be in the thick of it come May but with an extra 20m on the wage bill. The sensible option is to get experienced players on loan or negotiate lower wages with them if we get relegated but thats hardly going to be an attractive option to many players.

Carlton Palmer would add a bit of steel to the midfield aswell as a small head.
