I would love Coutinho, really really love it, but it comes to something when I would be more excited to sign Rob Huth and Wilson Palacios!

Yeah, the lack of solidity is killing us even more than our lack of goals.

This is the most worrying thing, Liverpool were very thin upfront, Sturridge had his medical before the window even opened.

We should have had our targets lined up and ready, it WILL be too late, if we wait till the end of January.

What's happened with this Dale Stephens chap, he would make a huge difference to our current team.

On what basis?

On the basis, he is a bloody midfielder. We don't have any.

I see Mikael Silvestre is without a club at the minute. His best days are long gone but on a 6 month deal to help the kids out?

Also didn't realise Mazrims mate Douglas is out of contract in the summer. Don't know too much about him but if Inter are sniffing round then he can't be too shabby.

I just want us to sign some big hard defenders and midfielders.

Hasn't been the same since his brother was kidnapped and killed or something like that. Should stay well clear IMO.

I agree. I remember a few years back someone memorally referred to Huth as a 'German threshing machine'. We could use a German threshing machine at the back.

I think signing douglas permanently and loaning an older player would be perfect, Carvalho - not getting a game and has been linked to QPR so should be possible.

That's good news. It may have escaped your attention but we do NOT need a striker. FFS buy a centre half!

So MON has finally realised that you can sign players from abroad. Just when I think I can't hate him anymore. Grrr...

Carvalho would be a good shout, though I'm still not keen on him for that tackle on Gabby a few years back.

He must have spotted him while scouting Scott Carson.
