Bradley playing well for Roma again.

He can't have played that well, they lost 4-1!

From PL's comments it doesn't look like he's got much of a budget to work with. For me, after the horrors of the Christmas period, particularly the Chelsea 8-0, the main problems still need to be addressed. The defence is sinply not good enough and who knows when Vlaar will return? Midfield needs an experienced leader - pity San is still out and not likely to play again. Lerner needs to support PL - the stakes are high-risk. Saturday is a massive game and I fear a defeat with Southampton looking a lot more solid of late.

Not sure what comments lambert has made but I have read reports that he has only £10m cash to spend plus any loan deal.

Very unlikely that anybody outisde the boardroom knows what he has to spend.

I'm not sure what Villafirst is on about. PL has'nt mentioned budget as far as i'm aware. Any talk of budget has been speculated in the newspapers and we all know how reliable they can be.

Yes, that's what has been suggested. To me, Lerner should invest at least £30M to safeguard his asset. If we get relegated (God forbid) the value of the club will drop like a stone not to mention the extra millions of tv money starting next season that the club would miss out on. Surely it's best to invest heavily to ensure the best chance of survival?

I thought you said these were PL's comments? Now you're saying it's what being suggested. In other words, no-one knows what we have to spend other than the people who need to know.

Even if he only has 10m & loans, that's enough to bring in three players and that's all we need. Defence & midfield. The rest is fine and will come together when we get some steel and belief.

As is always the case clampy there will be rumours and speculation but nobody knows what is to spend or who lambert is targeting , until we see it on the official site take it all with a pinch of salt.

Whereas uncle Harry goes out of his way to be seen in marseille watching remy and likes to wax lyrical about different players everyday , lambert likes to play his cards close to his chest and I believe that's the best way.

I see phil Neville is a free agent in the summer , worth a cheeky £1.5m bid to Everton or not?

Another name mentioned is Feyenoord ‘hothead’ Kelvin Leerdam. The midfielder appears to have fallen out of favour at the Dutch Eredivisie club and would maybe  be keen to link up with former team mates Karim El Ahmadi and Ron Vlaar.

The fact of the matter is only Paul Lambert will know who his real targets are and until things become official we will have to continue playing the guessing game – it’s fun though isn’t it?

I know people will say that the window has only been open a month, but I am surprised that there has not been any action from us as yet.  Surely PL knew some time ago that he would need additional resources this month, even before the Chelsea mishap, and it would be expected that these would have been identified and some connection made with agent/club to pave the way etc.  The game next saturday is a massive one, not just for the three points but also for morale throughout the club, players and spectators alike. For that reason alone I would have thought that there would have been some movement if only in relation to one player at this stage.

That bit makes you sound like you've actually turned into a tabloid journalist.

I don't think anyone's having quite as much fun as you are.
