Graham Dorrans has been told he can leave the Stripeyfilth.  Worth a punt I'd say.

If he's over 23 he's got no chance.

Never quite sure why he hasn't got a game lately, was very good a couple of years ago.

Don't think I could quite put up with their fans singing about us buying one of their 'rejects'.

I can't imagine they'll let anyone go before Ivory Coast are out of the African Nations Cup. How about Rodwell though?

He's injured until the new year.  Just signed him for Villa on Football Manager funnily enough.   Him,Owen Hargreaves and Tommy Hitzlesperger on a 6 month contract.

I'm wasted working in Credit Control.

It is the New Year! Or do you mean New Year 2014?

I couldn't give a stuff to be honest.  He's a good player who appears to be out of favour, and we urgently need some quality in midfield.  They've got Ridgewell anyway, so can piss off.

I'd take Whittingham back - he's better than KEA (then again so am I probably) and can make things happen.  Good shout that is.

He's a completley different player to KEA though. He's a winger for a start.
Back in 2005 maybe. Not now.

Doesn't work hard enough is what I was told, if that's the case can't see him suiting Lambert.

Shaved arse is available from Arsenal.
I wouldn't mind him on a loan basis to compliment Weimann and Benteke.

His attitude at Arsenal is abysmal. It'd be even worse if he came here.

I imagine he'll go back to Russia, but if we are to continue playing narrow then a player like him behind Benteke and Weimann would give us a really potent attack.

Here's Lawro's opinion in what we need.

What they need in a nutshell: To sell Darren Bent and add some nous and know-how.

Window shopping: Paul Lambert is building a young side but he is going to have to get two or three experienced heads in there, just to help the kids, because they look short at the moment. Maybe a 'number 10' type of forward who can sit behind Christian Benteke and who they can play through. Robbie Keane, who they signed on loan last January, would again be ideal.

But what they do with Bent could be the key. They could sell him and bring in the two or three players they need with the money. Villa might have to take a hit on the £18m or so they paid for Bent in January 2011 but the deal needs to be done.

Matt Lucas at Reading is supposed to be interested in him.

His Fisher Price hair would be a problem though.

he is a class player, lost his way but can be very creative just behind a front one or two as you say
i would certainly take him, especially if we could ofload Ireland which might be difficult

I can, he hasn't got a clue about Villa, otherwise he would realise, upfront isn't the issue, Benteke and Weimann have built a great partnership.

It's the defence and midfield we need to strengthen.
And then start helping out the front two,
