Sinclair is a decent player , would prefer it to be with a view to a permanent deal and I'd be more than happy to let his hot gf sit on my lap during the game.

Given our desperate need for players, you'd have thought we'd be among the first clubs to do business this transfer window. But, no.

Patience jimbo, I'd be surprised if things don't happen in the next few days.

I can't imagine they'll let anyone go before Ivory Coast are out of the African Nations Cup. How about Rodwell though?

He's injured until the new year.  Just signed him for Villa on Football Manager funnily enough.   Him,Owen Hargreaves and Tommy Hitzlesperger on a 6 month contract.

I'm wasted working in Credit Control.

I hop you're right, eastie. Have you heard of anything in the pipeline?

Nope , not a thing.

ASTON VILLA owner Randy Lerner has told Paul Lambert to keep calm and carry on, despite a nightmare Christmas.

And the American billionaire is ready to back his words with actions by making funds available during the transfer window.

Lerner made a call to support his manager even before the New Year’s Day draw at Swansea, which brought an end to the worst sequence of results in the club’s history.

The 50-year-old talked to Lambert and chief executive Paul Faulkner after the 3-0 home defeat by Wigan.

And he promised patience from the boardroom, despite a horror sequence of 15 goals conceded in three games.

Villa’s hierarchy accept Lambert’s policy of rebuilding the club around young stars will take time and the learning curve will be bumpy.

After going through five managers in two years they believe a period of stability is essential.

Former Norwich boss Lambert spent £27m on seven new players in the summer and has transfer targets lined up again for the next few weeks.

But he has been told to concentrate on quality rather than quantity and find the right additions who will add leadership to the young squad.

Villa face Ipswich at home in the FA Cup on Saturday, then travel to Bradford for the first leg of a Capital One Cup semi-final next Tuesday.

Not if you are sitting in front of me! Don't care how hot she is there is no way I am going to miss a Bannan 40 yarder straight out to row A.
