Just a point about experienced players on big money. QPR are getting battered as we speak with a team of "experienced" players. I think the one player PL let go to quickly was Collins. He did have a certain positiveness in his game which would have been very helpful now .....

Along with a tendency to drop a bollock at least once every game!

But granted, he would be a better option than those who played yesterday.

Collins? Take it you didn't see his clanger yesterday then?

I don't really see the relevance of QPR having a side of experienced players. Nobody wants us to stop using any of the kids, just fewer of them at one go.

No i did not see it as i was so demoralised yesterday to watch any football. My point is that are squad is much to small and i think Collins was one we should of held onto, especially with Vlaar`s history of injuries. He could of been kept until January as his wages are not massive, Also surely PL has already been told how much money is available and is not just having a meeting to discuss it with Lerner ?

It isn't about experience, age or hair colour. It's about level of talent, quality & the way the team plays the game.

It's not just any old experienced players is it, it's the right calibre ones, ones who can bring leadership and maybe a bit of toughness

This is the point. They don't need to be that good to contribute positively. They need to be good talkers, calm under pressure, lead by example and help instill some confidence. One or two have suggested Reo-Coker and he is a good shout for all those reasons. His limitations as a footballer are outweighed by the positive impact he would have as a whole.

Jamie Mackie anyone?

Chips in with goals, can play upfront or outwide and will run his balls off for the cause. Reminds me of Weimann so could be a good option when Bill is injured or needs a rest?

isn't he just a light version of Kevin Doyle?

I have a little sneak that we will look at Hoolahan from Norwich.

A commanding centre half, midfield bruiser and one with a touch of flair would be a good window.

Time to get our European scout to tell us where to pony up a barrow load of Euros then.

that's really what I'm hoping too. I know that hire was a long term project but hopefully he's already lined up a deal or 6 for January.

Another, small attacking midfielder is not what we need, unless it is a swap for Ireland.

I agree in many respects, A couple of older heads would be nice sure, but a couple of 22 year old centre backs that are good defenders that can talk and organise, and I don't care, as they will improve the side. Similarly if Westwood is knackered, a player of his ability to bring in is what we need, to keep the balance. Experienced players are ideal, but bodies of a certain level of quality are equally as important, as injuries are killing us.

Spurs have loads of centre backs.

I'd honestly try and get Dawson in for the rest of the season. Failing that I like Caulker and he was very good on loan at Swansea.

We've already played Spurs twice so any loans from them would be available to play all the league games for the rest of the season.

Jamie Carragher would be a good shout if he could be prised away from Liverpool. Exactly the type of character that would have a positive influence on the squad. Natural leader and always gives 100 per cent.

Dawson was rumoured at the end of the Window wasn't. He would be ideal for us, as he is a leader, is very good on his day and would step in alongside Vlaar, Clark or Baker with ease.
