Didn't he go to Ajax between leaving us and Brentford

He had a trial at Ajax.

Forrestor...it would seem odd.  £1m to sign a teenager who we then let walk away for nothing.  Another case of mistakes being made due to our unsettled management in the last few years.

I seem to remember his mom and been unwell, and he'd wanted to be back down south with his family when he left.

Oh, so that's why he ended up at Brentford. I'd seen him linked with various clubs at home and abroad and couldn't figure why he ended up underneath the M4

Wonder if he still has that awful orange tan he sported in the reserves?

Bolton boss Dougie Freedman wants to tie up left back Stephen Warnock on a new deal - with his loan about to end in the next week.

Warnock has been a stand-out during his spell on hire from Aston Villa and Freedman would like to keep him longer as his promotion push begins.

Villa initially let Bolton have Warnock for a low percentage of his salary but may be looking for a bigger contribution to allow him to carry on at the Reebok.

If we can get some more out of them, then great, but I doubt it would amount to all that much in the greater scheme of things, so as long as they're willing to kep him happy days!

Guzan - Free
Lichaj - Free
Baker - Free
Herd - Free
Clark - Free
Lowton - £3 million (although it was undisclosed this is the most common figure)
Bannan - Free
Westwood - £2 million (see Lowton)
Holman - Free
Benteke - £7 million
Weimann - Free

A whopping £12million. Or just over half a Downing.

I know we re-signed him for free, technically, in the summer but we paid Chivas (?) somewhere near £2m for him when we first brought him over didn't we? Listing him as 'free' is stretching things a bit, but still, point taken re:the team value! I wonder what they'd all be worth in today's market though? Quite a bit I'd imagine.

It made me curious too, He was appointed global sports director of red bull soccer franchises last year.
So (and this may be wrong) he overseas the Salzburg and New York teams.

I also like that no-one from that team has ever played for another English top flight club.

I'm sure Lowton's brother around the time said it was a lot less than the reported £3million on twitter.

I remember Harry Forrester scoring two goals in the youth cup final we lost to Chelsea.

Said at the time he reminded me of a young Lee Hendrie.

Clearly he didnt progress here but he's been playing very well for Brentford so will be playing in a higher league soon for someone.

I think this is often the case, with the media over inflating the price.
Another case I know of is when Roger Johnson went from blues to Wolves for a reported £7m (I think), A mate, who's a Wolves fan, has business dealings with Jez Moxley. He told me Moxley laughed at that, saying that it was nearer half of what was being quoted.

That's what Warnock needed - to be tied up and soundly thrashed to within an inch of his life ... Dougie, go to it.

Could do worrse if Dunne has had his day.

England centre-back Joleon Lescott, 30, may consider a loan move in January after starting just seven games for Manchester City this season.
