He always looked quite good to me. Lively, quick and strong. Don't think he scored many though.

I thought he looked a real handful at times, and was there not somewhat mitigating circumstances of being a teenager, abroad, and playing for Phil Brown, in a truly awful Hull side?

Possibly, but I don't think very deeply about other teams or their players.

We need 2 forwards IMO. A wide inside forward with a trick or two, and a Benteke alternative.

Would agree with that Ozz.  We need a wide forward in the January window and could do with N'Zogbia finding some form.  I would only look at buying a Benteke alternative in January if Bent leaves in the window.

Looking at his wiki he has 2 things in his favour. He doesn't get on with Alan Hutton, and he pays for the side we got Holman from, so may fit in quite quickly. And tweets about Holman during Villa games.

Agree re Benetek back up if Bent leaves. NZogbia finding form is something I really do think will happen though. In our current set up he will get the ball int he sort of areas he can hurt sides, and could finally appear the player we thought we were signing.

Let's hope so.  I wonder if we are still interested in Douglas, the defender who we were linked with in the summer.  I see that since the summer he gained Dutch citizenship and has been called up into the Dutch squad.

He's doing well in Holland but... I dont know. He was little more than a teenager when last in this league and playing for a shit team.
But I think we can do better.

AND, I think the link is utter bollocks because it's talksport.

They had Tommy Smyth on from ESPN over here, and he seemed to think that it was a done deal. It is still Talksport though.

Tommy Smyth is fucking annoying ringpiece. What are we discussing again?

If we're going to look 'left field' how about Torres?
Doing nothing at Chelsea, we could certainly offer him something different  :)

If you wait for Nzog to find form we will be in the bloody Conference ffs.

Interesting link to Riise. MON would've signed him if Liverpool had got Heinze in 2007 apparently.

He would do a decent 18 month type job imo.

Another one I've liked the look of recently is Llallana from Southampton, could be worth looking at if they get relegated.
