WOuld love to see Lescott at villa!

Does that mean that Halesowen have released hi ?

I hope so, we couldn't afford the fee otherwise.

I will check out these Lescott stories with his cousin. I won't see him for a couple of weeks though.

Lescott on loan would be a no-brainer.
Perhaps Man City will take Dunne back.  ;)
Only if they're struggling to shift pies in the catering.

Poor mans Benteke. I don't see the point really. He wasn't good enough for this league. Mind you...the clue is in the first word there, Talksport. I'd file that under bo-larks. I'd rather take Keano again. He could offer us something different, some experience and some goals for a year or so. I think another 2 month loan would be a bit futile.

If we are going to continue with this formation we are going to have to find someone who can fill the Benteke role if he is out injured or suspended.  At the moment we don't really have anyone else who could play the 'target man' role so we would have to change the formation should Benteke be out.  I'm not sure Altidore is the right option, but I could see the logic in bringing in someone like Benteke as cover.

But we have Jordan Bowery.  ;D I think if Benteke was injured, PL would be more inclined to have a tinker maybe. Whether that would be a good or bad thing I don't know. If Bent leaves, we do need another forward though that's for sure.

Agree with that, even if it is only someone bought in as cover for Benteke.

We need 2 forwards IMO. A wide inside forward with a trick or two, and a Benteke alternative.

Interesting to see if the money was used to buy Bent or will be available for some serious rebuilding?

Also the grass isn't always greener....unless your name is Milner of course

That was my initial thought.

He's doing well in Holland but... I dont know. He was little more than a teenager when last in this league and playing for a shit team.
But I think we can do better.

AND, I think the link is utter bollocks because it's talksport.

He always looked quite good to me. Lively, quick and strong. Don't think he scored many though.

They had Tommy Smyth on from ESPN over here, and he seemed to think that it was a done deal. It is still Talksport though.
