Loan deal for Jolyeon Lescott, perhaps?

You don't get the same sort of media interest when Mancini drops a £20+ mill player from the squad.  They'd have to be paying a hefty chunk of his salary, he's got to be on 80k a week or more.  I'd like to see Baker given more time on the pitch, it woul be horrible to lose another promising young defender because they don't get game time.

Love to see Lescott at the Villa. Top class defender with Premier League experience. Everything we're missing in our back 4. Villa fan as well. Bit the bullet and get him, Randy!

Agree on Baker being given more game time

Disagree on Baker, I'm not saying we shouldn't give him opportunities. However at the moment we need experience to get us out of trouble.

Lescott would be great. Exactly the type we need, however having three left sided centre backs would be odd.

If he's available for loan it's plausible if we can shift Dunne. Maybe it'd allow us to loan out Baker too.

You can see Lescott at QPR though. They'd probably pay the entirety of his wages too.

Another vote for Lescott here too. Except its yet another left footed centre half.
Not that it bothers me too much. Everything we need at the moment. Strength, experience and the added incentive of being one of us.
I always imagined he'd end up at Villa.

Still, he'll have no shortage of offers.

I really like Lescott, cracking centre half and a goal threat too.

He would have no shortage of offers, as you say, but a half season loan at your home town club and a game every week might tempt him.

He owes us about 10 goals by my reckoning.

Lescott on loan would be a no-brainer.
Perhaps Man City will take Dunne back.  ;)

Don't think he'd wanting to be coming back to the Birmingham area again, just to protect his knees!
