Keane would be a welcome addition but I don't think hitzlsperger is any better than what we've got already ,   another hit and miss average midfielder.
Who was deemed to be good enough for a much better team than us.

Hitzlsperger is a squad player at Everton, lets see how many games he starts for them , if he was that  good they would have signed him on a longer contract and not given him an extensive trial before offering a short term deal.

Probably just there as cover on case they have their annual injury crisis.

I fucking hate Downing, but I'd have him back in a heartbeat.
I fucking hate Downing too.

I'm not sure if Hitz is what we needed but i would'nt have grumbled too much if he'd come in.

We need 2 in there. Frimpong and this Danish fella would do me if he is as good as reported to be so. Frimpong is a beast.

Oh and ditch 4-4-2, which would mean a Hoolahan type would be useful.

Robbie Keane anyone?

Keane looked completely finished in the Euros and has done nothing to dismiss that theory in the subsequent games against the might of the Kazakhs and Faroes. Playing at that joke standard (apologies to MLS fans) is doing him no favours.

Then again he is a leader and did make a big impact last season. Dropped off Bent well and improved all the attacking players around him.

Most of the players mentioned I would say no too but the facts are particularly in midfield we have players nowhere near good enough. Many here wouldnt have thought Pienaar and Gibson were worth getting in but they have improved Everton hugely.

To be honest, Liverpool will get rid of Henderson and Downing. Prior to being in Anfield they were solid players at this level. both of those in our side would improve things. Sometimes it doesnt work out for players at clubs but they arent as bad as their form at Anfield suggests.

Sinclair, Moses, Sturridge, Arshavin, Rosicky will all be available for loan in Jan I reckon. As will Frimpong most likely.

Peter Whittingham is worth bringing back too.

Lot of wingers mentioned there considering our manager doesn't like them.

If he doesnt like wingers there is no point in having Bent or Gabby at the club. Nor Nzogbia or Albrighton for that matter

The players in our diamond - Holman, Albrighton, Delph, Kea, Ireland, Bannan arent good enough some miles away from maybe ever being

Can you imagine how many goals Fulham will score with Berbatov and Bent?  More than us, in any event.

Can we not sign a brazilian or a spaniard? Lets get a bit of flair in. Some technical ability. Lets do what we missed out on all those years back when we didn't get Juninho. I'd love to see a player, even if he's a pain in the arse sometimes, who'd just light games up. We don't really have that. Got to say I think Arsene's got a gem in Carzola. He's very classy. I'd love our scouts to pull out some south american or spanish class. Someone who can dribble, and someone who's foot is just a ball magnet.

I could see him going there to be honest. Fulham aren't shy of paying big wages. There also a team who are 2-3 signings from pushing for the last Euro berth (assuming it's 6th or 7th).
Sadly...

Huddlestone....no thanks, too lazy and too immobile.

If we have the money, Capoue, Frimpong would be an improvement, or look abroad.

I would ask Chelsk if we can have the German kid on loan as well.Think SAF would let Fletcher go?

12m would never be enough and there would be no point in having Berbatov, Rodellega and Bent..

£12m seems about the right sort of price in my opinion, granted a free scoring and on fire bent is worth more but he's on the bench and hardly gets a kick when he does play.
