Minutes applause sounded excellent on the radio.

The applause was excellent and fair play to Hudderfield, looked like the vast majority of them joined in. Personally thought the brolly thing was a bit crap and shame no one seemed to remember what his song was.

The song was a real pisser.

His own song isn't exactly hard to reel off.

From the sounds of it, I think a few did try to get it going. But they were invariably drowned out by the dullest tune known to man.

Interesting point re the song. I'm in Spain so I've only seen the footage showed on here and Twitter but it seemed like the Holte were singing " Atkinson my lord, Atkinson"?? WTF? As if that song isn't cringey enough with the on the piss / shit support / empty seats nonsense. I really hate that fucking song.

I was one of the ones trying to get it going! Wasn't happy!

I didn't see the umbrellas, nice touch. And fair play to their fans for joining in. Class.

What was his song, out of interest? He was my first (and one of the last) VP hero but can't remember any songs.

Wasn't there also a lesser spotted "all the Holte Enders know, Dalian's better than Deano" song, or have I made that up?

RIP Dalian, that looked very emotional at Villa Park last night. Watching the scenes brought tears to my eyes. Well done to all who went and joined in, he'll always be remembered very fondly as being up there as one of my favourite players to wear the shirt.
