We don't do well in the Toon so I'm going for a 2-0 defeat.  However would be very happy with a draw!

I think it will be either

5-3 to Newcastle or 1-0 win for Villa with Charles scoring a wonder goal which left everyone gobsmacked

Good question, is Clark suspended? Or was it a 1 game ban that took place last night?

According to this website Clark is only banned for one game:-

https://www.thefa.com/TheFA/~/link.aspx?_id=D6CA03B6740C4E78A1E74E2493E9199B&_z=z

Then if he comes in over Baker at CB then PL is a mug and we have not improved over TSM

Bit strong to say that one player selection would mean PL is no better than TSM.

My point being that PL sounded really refreshing that he clearly said that players got picked on form - he made the point about Given not being guaranteed #1 spot and that is the reason why Guzan re signed. If he goes back picking players on rep rather than performance then i am sorry he is no better than TSM

And for the record i would drop Given also - but you just know he wont be

Don't we can afford to carry CNZ and his anti-tracking back attitude in this game - it left us wide open on that side against Everton and Ben Arfa will shred us to pieces if we give him that much space and time. He might do anyway, but we should at least try to double up on him.

I think we could get something but it will be a tough match.

Cant see us winning and can absolutely see them taking the lead within the first 10 mins, pushing our confidence even further down!

Only Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Demba Ba and Cisse to worry about then...

A narrow loss meaning we stay bottom but am optimistic that we can then start putting points on the board v Swansea, Southampton and Tesco Bags

Team 4-2-3-1

Given

Lowton
Bennett
Vlaar
Baker

KEA
Herd

Ireland
Holman
N'Zogbia

Bent

Subs - Guzan, Lichaj, Bannan, Delph, Weimann, Fonz, Burke

That Vukic bloke is looking really dangerous for them tonight, we may need to do a job on him.

I like the look at that team, though I'd have Delph in for Nzogbia who has shown nothing, and will only be a passenger up there. UTV.
