For the first time in ages i think i'll watch a footy highlights show :)

Its on tommorow night.......BBC1

Are you sure about that? I've had a look and it doesn't seem to be on. I don't think the highlights are going to be on terrestrial telly at all, but I hope I'm wrong.

Thursday night actually on BBC. After the Dogheads match and the cup draw.

I thought Ireland was good and bannan was excellent. N'Zogbia was his usual self though.

That's the difference with N'Zogbia - the other two can play well given tactics, circumstances and mindset, but Zog  almost seems willfully playing badly.

Ireland stand out player on the pitch. I think Baker with Vlaar is a better choice than Clark. Herd showed a lot of energy. Still need quality. Hoping for at least four signings ...........

Lowest crowd I've seen at VP - 15,319 was the official figure.  The plus side of that is I'm back home less than an hour after the game finished whereas normally this time after a match I'd be just about on the Expressway!

Ireland was superb tonight, and Bannan and Delph linked the play up well but squandered possession at times. Doesn't look as though Enda Stevens will be the answer to our LB question, and that back 4 wouldn't survive a PL team challenge, but job done, 3 good goals and a clean sheet.  Were the 2 disallowed goals correctly chalked off?

Bents goals to chances ratio is 1 in 3 this season so far. He'd score about 75 a season for Man U.

Weneed to play to his strengths:get to the byline and cross it, he's lethal in that situ and world class at near post runs

I'm normally the last person to get on a player's back but he's becoming the exception. He's so annoying to watch. It's like he turned up thinking he was signing for Barcelona and suddenly found himself here. He plays unhappy if such a thing exists.

Edit: I meant to quote the cnz post above but still working out the new phone

Great win to get at this time.

One thing though, attendance 15,319...when was there last an attendance that low for a first class game at Villa Park?...

I went this evening, and it was really, really creepy seeing the ground quite so empty. I was actually surprised it was that many, I suspected it'd be less than that.

Mind you, we were in the lower Witton so couldn't see how many away fans there were.

NZogbia always seems surprised to run out of pitch.

Haha, nicely put.
