OMG I almost forgot.

I saw Wolfie tonight - he was in M5.

Didn't know he was in an American punk band as well as being a celebrity Villa fan.

Did you take a pic for Benidormvillain or were you too busy driving?

No, I was too starstruck.

Well, the goals have just been on Sky. They were all pretty much carbon copies of a cross from the byline being tucked away. What it does prove is Aftab needs glasses as it was Stevens and not Ireland who crossed it for the first as he reported.

I suspected you might have been thinking of MC5, but wasn't willing to risk the possibility of you actually referring to a band who really are called M5, thereby making me look out of touch.

Aftab needs stronger glasses, then.

I think he is the H&V equivalent of Chris Kamara as our match reporter.

The MC5 guitarist, Fred 'Sonic' Smith (who was married to Patti Smith) died of a heart attack in 1994, the year that we last played Tranmere.

Just got back thought that was very comfortable, that Tranmere fan on Talkshyte did come across as very bitter and I was glad to hear the Villa fan put things into perspective. That Villa side was very young and relatively inexperienced.
sat in the North stand upper and the view made looking at each Villa player's strenghths and weaknesses easier.I like Lichaj but a possible clue why Lambert prefers Lowton is his forward play, the final ball seeming a bit wayward, however he's very reliable and a great defender.
I wouldn't play Bannan and Ireland in the same side, I thought Ireland was excellent, you can see why he was voted fan's player of the season.

Spooky (about the MC5 guitarist).

PL must have seen something in Burke to have him on the bench and give him his debut. Did well.

I think tonight showed that, numbers wise, we may not be that badly off as a squad, as long as we don't have really bad luck with injuries and don't have to throw in about five academy graduates at once. Would like to see a couple or three first choices brought in by Friday though.

Ahhhha I can clear that up. I was about to post about Ireland's offside goal when we scored. So when Sqm commented om my mixed up post enquiring if it was Ireland or Enda I was of course referring to the incident before the goal. However I do need some better glasses as well!

Another thing about the attendance - I thought they were closing the Upper Trinity?  looked like a lot of people had relocated to one block to the left of the directors'/posh seats but there were still some people in the Upper

I was surprised to see people up there, too.
When I turned up and queued outside the ticket office they said it was cash payment at the turnstiles for Trinity upper so that's where I ended up.
