When we sold Kevin Phillips, I said we should have kept him.
'He'll be no good in the premier, too old, blah blah'.
Premier or otherwise, how many goals in how many games (many as a late sub) has he scored since then?
The point being, once a goal scorer, always a goal scorer, hence my interest in signing Whittingham.
By the way, Phillips scored 41% goals per game since leaving us and 46% between playing at Watford and leaving Villa.

That's almost double Heskey's best career efforts. So I suppose in Heskey's case we could say "Never a goalscorer, never ever a goalscorer".
