Ugo's incisive contribution on SSN today was something along the lines of 'look at the money City, Arsenal and Liverpool have spent - they can't expect to be above them'. Thanks for that Ugo, what about Swansea and Norwich?

Interview for Villa job failed right there on the basis of being as thick as pigshit.

Spot on Percy.  Problem is about ninety five percent of footballers/football people have this kind of mindset.  We need an intelligent, ambitious, strong character who respects Villa and knows exactly what should be achieved at the club.  Is there a GT MKI out there ready to pick the club up and lead us to glory?  Hopefully, as I type, Randy has people searching high and low (across Europe and the World) for that very person.

Villas Boas. He would make us sing again.

Bingo. We need a boss who understands us. If you don't, it will never work here.

Villas Boas is a ridiculous suggestion.  But I would be gutted if we did not even ask the question.

If he is looking for a "project" then we would be the ideal club.  Unfortunately whenever I have read interviews with him he has intimated that he is not in it for the long haul.

If we stay up what about Capello?
He wants to manage in England and he used to spend nearly every weekend at Villa Park. We can but dream I suppose.

I'd prefer a British manager if possible, but the potential candidate list is pretty depressing in terms of who would be likely to want to have a go at it. I wouldn't be against appointing a foreign manager if they could identify a quality candidate or two to interview.

Unfortunately, I think mcleish will still be around next season come what may.
I do hope I'm wrong.

Villas Boas would be a superb choice.  He'd be hungry and ready to prove a lot of people wrong, too.  He is also the perfect age to lead our young squad.  That's the kind of fella we need to aim for if we are serious about challenging whilst developing our youngsters - the question is can Randy see such things?  Can he see that, in the long term, getting the manager right is crucial to every aspect of the club's performance?  I hope he can, but his last two appointments suggest he has a serious blindspot for this type of thing.

Every time I hear Ugo, he doesn't seem to have a clue about anything Villa, he just sprouts the usual obvious uninformed views of other journos

If we can't afford to pay McLeish off,how are we going to afford Villa Boas wages?

If approached, I would be quite happy to take on the job of tidying up Nicole Kidman's ginger bits. For some reason this has not been reported in any of the papers.

There's always been something David Plattish about Gareth Southgate. Good player for us but a bit of a tit.

The sort of bloke who possesses a filofax but has nothing to put in it.

Yes well as stupid as Randy has been, I can't see him hiring Ugo. As you say he doesn't appear to have a clue.

For those of you with short memories, cast your mind back to Villa legend Ugo when he scored for Middlesbrough at VP and proceeded to run the length of the pitch giving it the big'un.
He can fuck right off.

After getting a round of fucks from us before he scored who can blame him?

Or can we give it out to players but not let them give it back?

Ugo is far too thick to manage the Villa

Then again, it doesn't seem to have stopped a number of other managers including the present incumbent

I think our team is lacking pure viking spirit.

I agree 100%.  We need a new Norse warrior.  Get our scouts over to Ukraine and Poland in June, there must be someone from Sweden/Denmark who fits the bill.
